These are my current Dynamic settings. Ride quality still feels fine. It's actually quite soft/floaty in stock form...for my tastes anyway.

I've owned so many of the "standard" colors over the years (black, silver, grey, white) and a few shades of blue. Have really been wanting to go green (and no, not only because it's a plug-in hybrid). Initially wanted to go with Sonoma Green, but the added fee for an Audi Exclusive color when such a nice green was available made the choice fairly easy.

The wife wasn't on board originally. She wanted Ultra Blue. But now she really likes the District Green.

Didn't just "find it". Put my order in for this badboy way back in early May. As an Audi veteran you know the typical build time is about 3 months. First time I've waited 6 months for a car...with a few options removed/missing...but these are the times we live in.

What kind of mileage efficiency are you seeing? I think they list as "up to 50mpg" but curious how that's shaking out in real world use for people. I've been thinking of swapping out of the SQ into one of these as I'm looking to add an even less efficient partner to the garage in 2022 (at least that's the hope but will depend on allocations). Gonna need something that has some utility, hopefully better efficiency, and that the dog is allowed in.

Even that's good to hear as most of my daily driving is pretty short trips around town. Definitely looking forward to hearing some updates down the road!

Yes, that's exactly why I opted for the Q5e as opposed to going back to an SQ5. The S interior trims bits are obviously nice to have, and I must admit this thing doesn't have the sound or soul of an S-car, but it all shakes out via less frequent gas station visits. That's one thing I won't miss.

The fam and I rarely travel outside a 30 mile radius, and when we do it's nice to have the gasoline engine as a long distance option.

The pedal feel when in EV mode takes some getting used to, as does the feedback from regenerative braking, but other than that it feels like any other Q5.

Figured I'd update you on my mileage.

The car is now at around 650 miles and I have yet to visit a gas station. It still has over a 1/4 tank left. I'd say I've had to go into hybrid mode around 4 or 5 times so far, due to longer around town trips or drives outside of 30 miles. When using nav, it will put the car into hybrid mode rather than EV only. You can obviously switch this back yourself.

Oh and I almost always drive it in Dynamic mode, typically with the AC on. Two things that will reduce efficiency/range quite a bit. Not to mention the MUCH wider 20"x10" wheels...

I appreciate the update! I think I'm totally sold on making the switch sometime next year. Gotta work on finding a set of OEM wheels to put back on the SQ so that I can keep the BC Forged ones for a swap. (My Black Optic wheels were stolen out of my storage unit )

As much as I wanted to get back into another SQ5, that right there is the only reason I didn't.

It’s all city driving. It did 25mpg on our road trip last weekend doing 80mph, that’s 425 miles of range on a tank. #notbadobama given what the SQ5 is.

It gets the same MPGs as the STI that it replaced and pre-COVID I commuted 50 miles a day in that thing. I’ve been working from home for 2 years this March with no return to the office in sight. Maybe I’ll go into the office once a month at some point this summer. Maybe.

And averaging 69 mph (nice). This was in the middle of nowhere Nebraska with ACC/Lane assist active on very dry roads and high beams, not great not terrible.

I finally have some MPG details to share for those interested as this past Christmas weekend we did our first long distance (non EV) driving.

Quick note though, I did my first tank fill-up at right around 930 miles! Pretty impressive if you ask me. That's 930 short distance around town driving, with nightly plug-ins.

So on Friday we drove approximately 190 miles round trip, mix of freeway and expressway, and I averaged just over 30 MPG at an average of 55 MPH.

Saturday was about the same with more freeway driving and also in the high 20's to low 30 MPG.

This was all in hybrid mode.

The batteries during both trips retained enough charge to stay in said mode the whole way, never needing to kick into gas only mode.

By the time we got home from our holiday travels we had put on around 380 miles and it was time for another trip to the gas station.

Traveling almost 1000 miles on a single tank is pretty nuts. This might just be the solution to help me avoid going EV for a bit longer.

Yes, it's a pretty small battery pack.

Although, I know with 3 simple changes, I could improve my gas mileage quite a bit. Although, at the sacrifice of both fun and coolness.

- Remove the roof bars/rack
- Go back to small skinny wheels/tires and not the beefy 10" wide boys
- Drive it in Comfort Mode and not Dynamic

Each of these individually wouldn't do much, but I'm convinced that doing all 3 would get at least another 15-30 miles out of a full tank and battery.
