I dunno, I kinda like the little pop of chrome. I may blackout the badges after I get the car wrapped in XPEL Stealth.

Looks nice!! Love the European headlights.

This weekend I’m getting the dealership to sub out the A7 diffuser with the S7 diffuser with fake shiny black exhaust pipes like you got. I think they fit because the real exhaust is below these pieces hidden.

Since you got the black exhausts too, what do you think about blacking out the rear Audi rings to match the exhaust?? I agree about keeping the front rings chrome to pop, also with such a big grille too.

The lighting is improved with the way the beam pattern and cutoff is, plus there is a full clear housing without the orange side marker.

Working currently to enable all of the matrix functions on North American models as well with remote procedures to make it an easy upgrade as well.

    Cheers,
Thanks for this info. Ive been so curious about this, as I’m thinking about the new S7. Audi describes the US lights for the A7/S7 as “HD Matrix-design”. It’s the “design” part of the name that to me suggests it’s not the regular matrix lights from Europe. Is that what you mean that the Euro lights have an improved pattern and cut off?

Another question, is there any difference between the HD Matrix with Laser and the HD Matrix with LED high beam, other than the fact that one has laser and the other doesn’t?

Here’s to hoping you can figure out how to unlock the full functionality!

    Thanks in advance.

The headlights we have in North America are proper matrix headlights, but the matrix function is disabled due to regulations here. When installing the eurolights on the AZ project car we found out that there is more to getting the matrix up and running than some coding. I haven't had a chance to dig back into the car yet but I do have some other A6 customers that are interested in doing some testing remotely. It's definitely do-able, just haven't had a car lined up to work with in a bit.

You can see the difference outlined here in cutoff and pattern as a rough guide:

The matrix with laser has a laser light in it while the other lights do not.

Disregard my other post about the tips!

If I don't black out the front badges, I won't do the rear either.

I think I'm with you. It looks pretty good leaving rings chrome in the front & back, now that my diffuser is blacked out :)

I know I’m going to get crucified here but I’m digging the rear end minus the exhaust pipes. From a purely esthetic point of view, it is a much cleaner look than having pipes sticking out of the rear end.

I see both sides. While the clean design does look nice, and I do not hate it at all, I do feel it's better suited on a less powerful car. The thing could use a sportier look, which I feel the exposed pipes gives. More than anything though, it deserves a sportier sound. With how much power the car has, you certainly don't hear it. It's even quieter than the previous A4's I've owned!

Wow, didn't realize it had been so long since I updated this thread. I discovered this lapse due to the fact that ProjectGREY7 is soon going up for sale.

Compiling all of the info needed for my listing and trying to determine the price to list it for. Seeing as how the used car market is insane right now, if anyone has any recent experience or personal feedback please chime in!

Sale will include all stock parts that were replaced with the ones listed above. Also will include the following sets of wheels...

    8.5" x 20"
    ET30
    255/40/20

    Aftermarket Wheels/Tires

Aside from this original thread I also have the following two...

    - Audizine's #ProjectGREY7, Audi A7 for All Seasons (Thule rack & cargo box info!)
    - Possibly trying out some brands/products for the first time... MTM & iPE

In my area, KBB lists a Private Party Range between $59,701 and $63,854.

With this, and based on the few other cars I've seen for sale online, I am thinking of listing it right around $65,000.

The time has come to test the waters with an auction site. I decided to list the car for sale on Cars & Bids. Really hoping I can finally find a good home for her.

No fee to the seller, only the buyer.

What are the fees for the buyer on Cars & Bids?

In addition to the final purchase price paid to the seller, buyers pay a 4.5% buyer’s fee to Cars & Bids. The buyer’s fee has a minimum of $225, and a maximum of $4,500.
