S3 kit, will it fit an A3?

    Hi

Ive seen 2 A3's for sale with the S3 kit on, sadly unable to ask the owners to get the details, but they had all the kit on, you couldnt tell if it was an S3 or A3.

I was under the impression that this is not possible as the grill and the arches are a different shape compared with the A3?

Can anyone confirm if a std S3 kit can fit an A3, and would there be loads of modding to get it to fit?

    Thanks

    G

I don't see why the bumpers wouldn't fit. I'm sure they use the same fenders, only question would be the hood, but I'm sure that's the same as well.

Normally the front fenders are a bit wider, its nothing to drastic so the front bumper will fit with some small adjustments, again nothing major.

As for the grill, the grill fits in the bumper, and the hood/bonnet is the same. They do make s3 look a like kits in europe, I cant remember who though, but I'm sure if you search the web you'll find something.

With the S cars the fenders are normally wider? With the RS cars, yes, but...

Normally yes, but if I recall correctly the front fenders of the S3 are wider than those on the normal 8L A3, I was told this had nothing to do with looks but was due to the front track being a bit wider on the S3 than a normal A3...

Now as for the rear I dont know for sure, but a friend of mine has a modded S3 with a bodykit and the front and rear needed quite a bit of work to sit flush with the fenders, and this was an A3 kit...

    Hope that helps...
