Hmm, looks basically exactly like Meteor Gray.

They do look similar but i'm guessing the main difference will be between meteor's pearl effect and monsoon's metallic. meteor having a lot of variability, monsoon having more consistency & sparkle (just my guess). i'm anxious to see monsoon in person, it looks nice.

You think? To me, Meteor looks like navy blue with hints of green in the sun... not one bit gray, IMO. Monsoon looks a shade or 2 darker than Quartz, making it a true gray as opposed to a dark silver.

Me too it looks to be lighter than Daytona and darker than Quartz, a medium gray. I like it, should have one in stock next month so the mystery will be over.

I don't see the similarities to Meteor. To me, as a another poster noted, it looks to be in between Quartz and Daytona. A very "gray" gray, if that makes sense? I am glad as this is the color I ordered and was hoping it would not be too similar to Meteor(No offense to Meteor owners intended) I am not a fan of the green hues in the Meteor but am of the blueish in Quartz, which there also appear to be hints of in Monsoon.

I like it. I think it looks great.

I wish it were a warmer gray but I do like it more than Quartz and Meteor. I'll be ordering this color A5 tomorrow! :)

That looks closer to the old Dolphin Grey which I loved! My quartz grey is a little too light for me!

Sounds like you'd love Dakota Gray, which I just saw today on the new A6. Not sure if it's a standard available color on the A5 though. So many grays!

Dakota Grey is not an option for the A5 unfortunately (I love it).. I think it's for the better, though, because my girlfriend's car looks very similar to Dakota Grey and I don't really want to have matching color cars

As Blake stated somewhere here, Quartz Grey is Silver with personality
I'll throw out that this color is personality + .... possibly.
Seems the Grey variations get tricky between pearl and metallic IMO - all in the eye of the beholder - is Mona Lisa smiling?

I like it. My 2012 Monsoon Grey S5 Cab gets delivered at the end of August, build starts Monday. Now that I've seen the colour, I won't cancel the order! :)

You can get any color you want from the factory if you order it, I think it was around 2k? Don't remember exactly.

I didn't know that, I'll talk to my salesman today before I place the order. I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $2K, since I do like the Monsoon Grey also

Yes, and it will also add on days/weeks to the total build time.
