According to the Audi press conferences I attended on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week during the NY Auto Show, they just officially went on sale. The ones seen on roads and at dealerships now are all demos and press loaners.

Pretty much all dealers have sold one for sure.. My RUSNAKwas handing out one, delivering in the new car delivery area, wednesday evening, when I was in there. And pretty sure I have seen couple.. But anywho.. first car doesnt mean..jack shit.. chassis 0001 maybe.. lol

Congrats. Did you just pick a a dealer allotment, or did you order this super early somehow. My wife ordered hers 3 days after they told us it was possible, and we were told it would be a 3 month wait. We had a few allotted cars to pick from, but none were specced just right.

We considered those 19" sports, but could not find a good pic online, and I didn't trust the simulator. We went with the 20's.

The demo that we got had everything: Bang & Olfson sound system, innovation package, and the sport package. The MSRP on our demo was $80,130 which is a lot considering the base price was right below $60K.

Interesting discussion. If it was a demo they sold they probably broke an agreement signed with Audi. My dealer tells me that Audi required the dealers to sign an agreement that stipulated the dealers could not sell the initial demos. The earliest customer ordered cars (mine included) were released last week and this week from port. Mine will be at dealer on Monday. Who really cares if it was the "1st" one in the USA and given Audi didn't release just one car at a time it is a bit of an outrageous claim. Nevertheless, more power to ya.

Just because you've "seen" plenty doesn't mean those were sold. How do you know they're not demo vehicles? If it officially went on sale on 4/22 and he picked it up that day, may be he was the first one to take delivery than. So, unless you guys can say for certain he wasn't the first one then stop bashing him.
