My new B8 A4 Avant S-Line in Monza Silver

Hey guys,

Just wanted to put my new baby out there. Was sad to sell my Silver 04 Avant Ultra Sport 6mt but was thrilled when I picked this up in mid May. Haven't done anything to her yet. Probably going to do a few cosmetic things (RS6 pedals, S4 Aluminum mirror caps) and definitely want to go with the AWE exhaust as soon as I'm 100% sure that my Avant and tip combination won't provide any unwanted drone. Anyways, here are a few pics. I'm a brutal "photographer" so this is the best I could do:)

thanks man! I'll probably do the RS6 aluminum pedals first, then aluminum S4 mirrors caps, the AWE exhaust after that. Still not sure what to do with the suspension. I've been thinking of going Anthony's route and doing the H&R oe sport springs. I'll probably drag out the upgrade process for a while just to give myself some things to look forward to. I'll update the thread as I do though.

you're right, it does look similar and I've always liked aviator gray. Monza silver has some blue hue to it (in the shade) but with a lot of metallic in it. I'd never seen Monza in person (placed a deposit on the car that had already been ordered by the dealer) so I was nervous. When I first saw it, I loved it, then wasn't sure but I'm now glad I went with it.

Love the color. Also kind of reminds me of my S6's Crystal Silver metallic, which is a lighter shade but also on the "cool blue" side.

Looks great!! I was so close to ordering Monza as it looks really good and is only on S-lines in the UK.

This was the pic that made me fall in love with it.




In the end my wife decided it was "too silver" and we'd agreed not to go for silver.

Thanks sloanlo! I hadn't seen this yet. Surprised to see a 0-60 time of 6.4 secs also. I think Audi's # was more like 7 secs. Will be nice to follow their thoughts on the car though.

Sure thing. Yeah, 6.4 is smokin'. The 102 ft for 60-0 mph braking they recorded sounds pretty intense too. Must be those sticky summer tires :)

I have seen a 5.4 time for a 6MT, non s-line, I mean this could be wrong, but who knows, with a good driver behind the wheel. Can't wait till my shipment comes in to test this out haha

wow Monza Silver looks real nice, looks amazing in the pic scottyuk posted all shiny like that. the current silver was cool but seems a bit closer to white, this one's nice closer to quartz gray.

Wheels should complement not blend in to a car...imo

...and it will tie in your aluminum trim aesthetically.. as well as the mirror covers if you do those

Thanks! Yeah, my wife's b8 sedan is quartz and even side by side they are pretty close. My Monza just has a bit of a bluish hue to it.

yea the silver definitely looks better on that car, gives a good contrast, the gunmetal color blends in with the car too much. also keep in mind the silver rims wont be as bright/shiny as they look on that photoshopped pic (the lighting in the photo itself is dark/overcast while the rims are from a diff pic with good lighthing), so just keep in mind it'll look better in person incase you prob thought those silvers looked too bright/shiny, so it'll look a little less toned down then that i'd think.

I hear ya on "other options". I had my eye on other wheels for a while but some PMs that yielded quotes that were a lot more $ than I ever intended to spend on wheels had me settle on the 701s:)
