    I'm one week away from returning to the track and I thought it might be a good time for some upgrades. Today I'm installing EuroCode Sways and End Links and the 034Motorsport Rear Differential Carrier Mount Insert Kit. I also have a front upper CR-15 strut brace (made by a forum member) and a custom pedal set on the way but those haven't arrived quite yet.

    Car jacking equipment ready to go and car in position. Tip: sweep the garage floor before moving car into position.

    Then I think I may remove the wheels and tires so loosening lugs before jacking up car.

    Awesome, I have all that stuff installed. Rear sway was the toughest to install with the end links. Got to kinda just work one side in then the other. Easiest if you remove the exhaust completely, but I didn't, just dropped it at the rear.

    Oh yeah, and for the rear sway, I remember I had to work one side in to position at weird angles because the end links were in the way. Should be no big deal for you.

    Thanks for the tip and words of encouragement!

    Car is higher in the rear with the jackpoint jackstands up front, I may need to re-jack to car to do the front. Starting on the rear!

    Awesome thanks, "lowering the exhaust" step was much easier than I imagined. Used a 13mm socket with a long extension.

    I don't want to derail your progress too much, but just a suggestion: you might want to replace the sway bar bushing mounting bolts with grade eight steel bolts. You should be able to find the correct size/thread pitch at a local hardware store (M8 with 1.25 mm thread pitch). The stretch bolts will be one time use only.

    I had a painful experience when I tried to lubricate the bushings (they will squeak after 1/2-1 year), which for the EC setup, requires pulling the bracket off (some other companies like H&R/hotchkins actually have a grease nipple I believe). The stretch bolt sheared and I was stuck with an annoying problem. Here is what the used bolt looks like

    Installing rear diff carrier mount inserts now. Sport diff is supported with a jack on some rubber pads. Clear shot at rear diff carrier bolts with rear sway removed and removing rear diff carrier bolts with an 18mm socket and then an 18mm ratcheting wrench.

    Great idea on the small carpet patch. I kind of forget the details of this install, but I remember the front end link length was not correct when I matched them to the oem links. Had a mechanic properly set the length based on no pre load, so I never learned how to do it. Just another fyi.

    Keep up the good work, you seem very competent with the wrench. You're gonna love how she handles!

    Tip here, note how deep the bolt is inset, when you think you're done you probably still have a little bit to go. I will also say that hand tight is a little over tight, so be careful not to overdo it. I backed the bolt back out a little and I am able to fit my torque wrench in, even on the driver's side! If I had thought ahead I would have ordered a more shallow 18mm socket.

    On each side I started backing the bolt out with an 18mm socket and then switched to the 18mm ratcheting wrench when space got tight, thanks again to whoever gave me that tip!

    Doesn't matter how much silicon lubricant you use, the inserts are not going in by hand. The secret is getting the insert nice and level to get a few threads of the bolt started. You can then just tighten the bolt to push the insert in.

    In! Much easier to fit a torque wrench on the passenger side (with the rear sway out at least).

    Not bad, I can definitely see how these inserts might reduce drivetrain slop, I reserve final judgment until after an on track test though. Thanks 034Motorsport!

    Now back to installing the rear sway and end links.

    End links bolted and torqued to rear sway, 40Nm plus 1/4 turn, stiff innermost setting. Nitrile gloves on hand for lubing bushings.

    By some miracle it slid right in, much easier than pulling out the factory unit. Perhaps since the end links rotate with this setup and since the bushing brackets aren't on yet the clearances worked out better.
