    RS4 wheels

Found a local set of OEM 19x9 et29 wheels for sale, so I grabbed them. Always liked the look of them on the car since I saw KingofNYC's S6 with them. When I went to get them, I found out that they still had the 255/35/19 tires on them, which the seller wanted extra for. I was actually planning to go with 265/30/19s, which are a smaller diameter tire, but worked out a good deal with the seller to get the tires too. 255/35/19 is about an inch larger diameter than stock, and is the stock size for the RS6.

I already had my winters on, but couldn't resist trying the new wheels on for a week or so since we have been having mild weather lately in Toronto. I was running a 15mm spacer all around with the winters, and left them on with the RS4 wheels, bringing the final offset to et14. And, to my surprise, even with the bigger tires, I have no rubbing (although I do have fender and liner modifications).

    Anyway, here are the pics

I really like the way the bigger wheels are filling out the wheel wells. With the RS6 side skirts on, the car really seems to need at least 19s.

I'm thinking they would look better if the car wasn't almost the same colour as the wheels.

That is a very clean setup. I rather like those a lot and certainly like your other set. One of these days I'll fall into a nice wheel deal, till then, I'll just rock my scared up A8 wheels.

From a distance or in pics yes. Up close, they were beat up pretty good by a previous owner. I'll get them repaired at some point though.

Looks good. Curious how long these wheels will last before you change it up again.

When are you going to cc those headlights?

Thanks. Might not last too long :) I have another set of 19s in mind when I have some money. I just got these for cheap, so I thought that I would try them out. I do really like them, but think they would probably look better if my car was not light silver, like the wheels. When I get the other set I will decide if the RS4 or the MB-Battle 18s I have will be the winter wheels.

CC's will be coming next spring. Just didnt get around to it this year. I did it on my last A6, and remember it being pretty straight forward. This winter Ill be working on the engine, suspension, exhaust, interior, tuning, and possibly body. This car is the never-ending project.

wheels look great, gives it a nice updated look. Most people would think they came stock, which is a good thing. Its almost 2012 dammit. Like Jay Z said, " Rims, we off that"

And it looks like with the taller tire you have enough rubber to use them in the winter and not worry about bending one. How much did you pay?

Mithril - Im running H&R Sport springs

Cherohala - Yes, the RS6 skirts and rear spoiler are from a wrecked RS6 which was a slightly darker silver. I still have to put the RS6 front on, which is from another RS6 and is an even darker grey. After that, I will paint the whole car one colour. Haven't decided if Ill stick with the silver or go with something different.

Yeah, I definitely want too. I keep changing my mind of what colour to go with though. If I'm going to pay a bunch of money to get it done, I want something different than what was offered stock on the A6/S6/RS6. At the same time, I don't want to get something too crazy that I'm going to be sick of it in a year.

I think it would look amazing in Porshe Viper Green, but the whole car would have to be super clean to pull it off. And I could definitely find myself sick of the colour and all the attention it would bring, after a year. Another option I am considering is Samoa Orange. I haven't seen it in person, but in the pics it always looks different in different light, which I love.

You already have the rs4 wheels, now you need the rs4 color, sprint blue to be exact. Do it!

Are those 555r's? If so... do they pull really bad with pavement grooves?

I've loved them on ALL my cars, but HATE them on this... BAD steering pull when new, BAD cupping noise when old.. crappy feel... really disappointed.. replacing them tomorrow... and the wheels hehe...

Actually, the are not Nittos, but they do ride the grooves in the road like crazy! They are Barum Bravuris, and came with the wheels. Maybe they have a similar tread.

    Tread looks identical.

Got the new Continental DWS all weathers... and I'm shocked... I love them! VERY VERY quiet, no pulling and GREAT snow handling... they're a little softer in the corners than the Nittos, but well worth the marginal sacrifice!

Nice! If they are OEM RS4 wheels, then the offset should be et29. As far as I know, you should have no problem running them without spacers. If anything, just doublecheck that the front brake calipers clear.

BTW, I only ran the spacers because I like the look and because I already have them. That being said, I will be swapping them out for some smaller ones (8mm) due to rubbing in the rear on big bumps/dips with 255/35/19s.

Great find. IMHO, the OEM RS4 wheels look great on so many different cars.

FYI - When you do get spacers, dont use my guide as an example, unless you are going to trim your inner fender liner and roll your front fenders (which are aluminum and difficult to roll). Also, as mentioned above, I am running RS6 size tires (255/35/19) which are one inch bigger diameter than A6 4.2 stock, so that comes into play too.

Post some pics once you have them mounted.

Yup, that's a steal, as these wheels are always in high demand, and a set in mint shape normally goes for much more.

Had some fitment issues, Wheels are et 35 and they hit the control arms if I bring my et anywhere as low as yours I will be way past the fender lip. 5mm spacers will put me flush and off the control arms (I hope)

As far as I know, the OEM RS4 wheels are et29. Are you sure yours are OEM and not replicas? Actually, even at et35 you shouldnt have any problems with the control arms. How are you determining that the offset is 35? I think there were some higher offset OEM wheels from the TT that look a lot like the RS4 wheels. Maybe that is what you have. What does the stamp on the back of the wheels say the offset is?

Might be the TT wheels with et52 offset and are 19x9.

There are some pics of the TT wheels at the following thread:

What does the stamp say on yours?

Stamp on the wheel is et35 tires are 255/40zr19. They might be replicas as I didn't find a Audi part number stamped, they are def rs4 wheels tho with a 235 it might clear.
