Very interesting that Sprint Blue and Imola Yellow were "retired".......which makes me even happier that I bought when I did.

I had been fretting P+ vs Prestige. I wanted the advanced key and driver memory, but I hate the Prestige wheels. Life just became so much happier and simpler...

it also loses the current black diffuser blade in favor of platinum grey. i like my black blade in front.

Ti is also no longer available with premium plus. glad i got my 2011 premium plus with Ti, even if i couldnt get advanced key.

QFT. I'm so glad that I didn't hold off until MY2012 Premium Plus when my SA gave me the option. I'd rather have the Ti Package any day over the Advanced Key.

Wow I'm still in shock the order guide is out already. After hearing somethings while I was away at class I can see why. It's all about getting cars out faster to help with the lack of inventory. As with every change there's some good and some bad. I like a lot of the stuff they've changed on the A4/S4 line though.

Only the brown ones are from Japan. The black ones are from Germany and the Silver ones are from somewhere in South America, I think.

I am SO glad I got my order in when I did. I could care less about the advanced key or seat memory (nobody else drives my car 98% of the time). With a 2012 I would have lost my color and the Ti pkg with P+.

Restricting the Ti pkg to Prestige is a head scratcher. I'm sure that there are a room full of nerds somewhere sorting out the euro's generated by doing this but I can see just as many people saying "screw it" and ordering a P+ and sourcing the items from the aftermarket. I totally get that making a profit is job one and that, at the end of the day, they really couldn't care less about "enthusiasts". It's just that I don't see how restricting a minor appearance package, no where near the impact that the S-Line pkg has on an A4, makes sense.

They also missed the opportunity to do the side mirror housing in the same way they did the Ti pkg RS4. Brushed looked out of place, now you lose the uniqueness completely by painting them body color. Of course, not sure they really care. They'd probably rather just cancel production and convert the plants over to making white/beige Q5's...

Audi started running out of parts included in the Ti package a couple months ago. They updated there 2011 order guide last month to restrict Ti packages to sold orders only. This is why they limited it to the prestige trim. Not because they make more money by limiting availability.

Is this true. It seems just off enough to be a joke. If its true, Im so glad I got my car when I did. Brown/Black is not a popular option but I sure love mine.

I think the Japan quake is a big part of it. The way I understand it there are miscellaneous parts that are simply not coming soon. And from odd things, like pigments - which could easily be a big factor.

But I will agree with others that I am glad I ordered when I did and got things just the way I like it. Funny that we will have Imola and Sprint blue, the two now defunct colors. And my two favorites. Whew!

You may be surprised to learn that the perfect match Quartz Gray paint i ordered in a 400ml spray can from a Korean ebayer came straight from Japan, the company confirmed that both the color and the mixing machine were Japanese, the machine had all Audi codes pre-programmed, as shown on the printout that came with the paint.

Ford has discouraged dealers and buyers from ordering Tuxedo black cars/trucks because of the inability of getting certain PAINT pigments from Japan. I would assume that could affect dark gray cars as well.

As others and myself have pointed out in this thread, the Ti package parts shortage has been going on since before the quake.

There may be a delay in certain (metallic) colors and parts. And pricing will increase on everything.

I will let you guys know what I find out. After months of trying to determine what car to get I just signed paperwork today based on a S4: 2011 build sheet, the dealership is getting back to me tomorrow on what they can or cannot get. I went with Premium Plus, 7 speed auto (don't care if its 7 or 8), Ibis white (I do like the new white on the 2012 build sheet). PQC: Titanium Package (I do want the alum mirrors and not the color matching 2012 option), I do not like the factory standard wheels so I'll use these as my winter set and purchase something else. Napa leather (Grey and black 2 tone). This will look nice sitting next to my White E36 M3 Sedan, now have to or do not have to sell the B6 USP Black Avant?.?.?.?.?.

It is more grey than deep sea blue - there are pics of an A7 in deep sea blue kicking around.
I have ordered mine in moonlight blue with Mustang Brown leather.
