    *****END EDIT*****

Ok, so I have been reading for a few days on here gathering intel to do a few upgrades for my car. I am currently driving a 2009 A4 S-line quattro 6spd MT in Misano red and it is completely stock. If pics are necessary I can do it but...google works about the same right? I mean, I am bone stock minus tint. Anywho, I am sure many people speak of upgrades and fail to act; however, since I have to give up riding my motorcycles on the street (racetrack is still fair game) for a deal that only a fool would pass up, I am in need of a decent street toy. The car is hardly a daily driver with only 20k miles on it 2 years after my purchase, so I wont be logging a billion miles with the setup and am not AS concerned about reliability and gas consumption as others might be. Obviously I don't want my motor to go the way of chernoble.

Down to business, I plan on taking advantage of APR's deals and purchasing the following:

    K04 turbo upgrade
    Turboback Quad Tip exhaust
Carbonio Intake (very hesitant to go this route at first but it seems everyone got their fitment issues taken care of...mostly)

Outside of APR's products I also plan on installing an updated FMIC but am on the fence about which route (AWE upgrade or Eurocode's amazing looking kit, and yes I know of the fitment issue to the K04 with the eurocode).

I have searched endlessly (using the search feature so please don't blast me, if possible) but have yet to see any hard dyno data (aside from APR's crank figures) for the car. If there is some out there, if someone would be so kind as to point me in the direction I would greatly appreciate it.

As for aesthetic upgrades, I will do a few things in time but without the bikes and a stock A4...Johnny law hasn't beens showing me much love lately and I have to remedy this, STAT! (naturally I do not condone street racing, nor do I drive more than 5mph over the posted speed limit...)

Now for the bit more exciting news (if I am correct about not having any hard data out their about the k04 upgrade), I plan on performing a baseline dyno run at my local AWD shop available to me. I am calling tomorrow to set my appointment. Also, I will be ordering all of the parts in a few weeks (sorry to get your hopes up and make you wait so long) and installing them in my shop and again tuning at my local shop. I will catalog the entire build with pictures for your viewing pleasure and then when everything is installed, I shall get an updated tune and dyno result. Should be very interesting to see the idff between my stock vehicle and that many parts. If I had endless money I would dyno between part installs to see the gains from each install, but sorry, I do not.

So, I ask for comments or suggestions on my current plan, and if possible some first hand intel on the FMIC upgrade. I thank everyone in advance for their comments. Constructive criticism is welcome, but don't be to harsh on me since I am a "noob" to this forum.

Wow, I'm jealous of what your car is going to become. The Eurocode FMIC will work perfectly if you get a coupling that they will throw in with the kit if you mention that you have a K04 when ordering.

I'll be following this thread closely :)

    Awesome,

Make sure you post your updates and pictures. As well post your dyno graphs if you have any.

    Looking forward to this.

Have you thought about anything larger (GT Kit)?

    Best regards,
    Sean.

Will do. I am hoping that if my local shop, Stage 6 Motorsports, has any free time, I can swing by for a baseline this weekend or sooner. I will know more tomorrow morning when I give them a ring. As for going with a larger turbo, I do not want to get into anything too crazy as I am building another project with much more potential. I also don't want to invest too much money into the car. Custom manifolds (unless there is a manifold currently out there to mate with a B8 and GT series compressors), fuel upgrades and serious tuning will be reserved for toy 2. Also, I am not aware of a B8 GT Kit available. If you know of one, send a link my way and I will take a gander. For the moment I just want something a little more stout for the road and stock just isn't cutting it.

Called and left a message with the shop today, no luck. I will try again tomorrow but will also be in that area so I might just stop in and see whats up. More than likely I hope to get a baseline ASAP. Also, I might move my parts order date a little closer than 3 weeks and get a few extra goodies

So I got in touch with my local shop and the dyno is down for two weeks. To add to my bad luck, my car threw a CEL. Took it to audi and it was for the intake manifold position sensor. There was a service bulletin for it which required new software. They loaded the software and...FAIL. So they replaced the sensor and...FAIL. So now they just ordered a new intake manifold. Won't get the car back until sometime next week.

Looking forward to hearing all the info as it rolls in. I am very happy with my EUROCODE FMIC thus far. I have had it on for about 3 weeks now with no issue. Very glad I did this upgrade and well worth the wait.

You get that thing on the dyno? If so, what sorta numbers did you see? If not, how happy are you with your current config? Thanks!

Don't have dyno numbers from it but I love the FMIC. Such a complete kit and all of the piping looks top notch when you pop the hood. :)

Pulling the trigger. Got in touch with Eurocode and ordered the turbo back quad exhaust with black diamond tips. Next week I will be placing my order for the K04 upgrade with full programing suite, Carbonio intake and FMIC and another goodie that I will keep secret until my pictures and videos reveal everything.

Maroney, did you take those pictures? I would love to see your setup. Thanks.

Looking forward to it! I am really excited for next week as I will be setting my appt for the baseline stock dyno runs to share with the forum. I also order all of my parts next week, but since I already went forward with the exhaust, everything should be coming in at the same time as the exhaust has a 2 week build time. I also plan on taking some photos of the car stock as long as taking a few videos of the vehicle at diff speeds that will give sound differences between stock and upgraded. On top of that I will do some 0-60s pre and post mods. Should give a complete picture of pre mod, and post mods feel, sound and look.

Ordered AWE Vent Mounted Boost Gauge and Boost Vacuum tap/hose from AWE today. Should be here sometime next week. More than likely I am just going to stockpile all the parts and drop them all in over a weekend.

    OP,
I did my install (1 day before/after MMaroney) and it was pretty straight forward install. If you have any questions feel free. I used Okan's DIY for front bumper removal which was very easy.

Thanks! Looking forward to getting some pictures, videos and dynographs up as soon as I start making some progress. The car is going to appear stock for a little while though as I spent a pretty penny getting all the go fast goodies. I can't stand all show no go.

Sunny Southern California. Much cooler this week, already missing the beach weather.

I can take pics of the car stock if you would like? I plan on doing that anyways, but was going to wait until right before tearing things apart. I can snag some tomorrow maybe...if I have some time to clean it.

I just wanted to drop in and provide a quick update. All of my parts will be placed on order tomorrow from Eurocode. That is:

    K04 upgrade
full APR software suite (I am in FL so 93 octane is easy to find)
    carbonio intake
APR turbo back exhaust with quad diamond black tips
    Eurocode FMIC
    Small CF goodie

I would have ordered them today but by the time I get out of work, they will be closed.

Also, my AWE boost gauge and boost hose arrived today. I am still debating on installing it this weekend or waiting until the rest of my goodies arrive and doing everything at once.

Tomorrow I will be taking pictures if weather permits. I have to work all day today and will not have time to clean the car, so dirty pictures are out of the question. Tomorrow I will snap a bunch of photos of the car stock so you guys can finally see what I am working with (baseline). Very VERY EXCITING! I would like to give a special thanks to David at Eurocode for helping me out with my purchase. Very great staff and very fast service. They allowed me to put a deposit on my order last week so they could begin the process of having my exhaust constructed, that way when I called in today to buy everything (now pushed to tomorrow), I have to wait a week less. Aside from that, the local shop with the AWD dyno is still out of commission for 2 weeks. I was under the impression it was down for 2 weeks a week ago, but when I called yesterday they still said at least 2 weeks. When I asked for a specific date, they could not give me one. The next closest AWD dyno is in Orlando. I might make a road trip for some spanish food and dyno fun very soon.
