I can't seem to find the info for a recent ota. Looks like some of the virtual cockpit gauges changed. But I'm not sure what else was updated. Thanks!

I didn't know there was an OTA update available. where do we find and install this? I wonder if by some miracle it adds the new style center tach display ?... that would be great as it beats the current 3 we have now. where did you see it adds virtual cockpit gauges?

The current gauges are different. The two are larger in diameter and font looks to have changed. I like it personally.

How about a center aligned single tach like the old days?

Settings and Maintenance there's an option for system updates. I just went into it and there's nothing there though, so either it downloaded automatically and installed or it hasn't rolled out. I thought the two round gauges had a different font though.

Too bad we can’t just add things in with obd11…. Like that single center tach!

Was an OTA update that happened when the vehicle was at rest. The my Audi app made mention of the update being applied too. Not much else I know on this hence my reason for attempting to find info either here or the webs.

Asked Alex at Europrice about potential changes to the virtual cockpit in any way. He helped me engage the LED active matrix on my cars. This was his response:

Parts of the virtual cockpit are hard locked permanently from the moment the car has any mileage put on it.

Confirmed this information again just to be sure. Changing the virtual cockpit displays on these MIB3 cars is near impossible, disassembly and soldering is involved for those who really want to do it.

Could the OP maybe put up some pictures of what their display looks like now and see if it varies to what other owners are seeing stock?

    Cheers,

Evidently the view was changed after the update. Cycled through the "view" button a few times and noticed this is the enlarged version of the circular gauges. The smaller view shows the engine temp and boost. Crisis adverted.

weird as mine has always looked exactly like that. then again, my car is fairly new so perhaps i never saw it before. I don't love that view especially compared to the new one large circular tach set up. I find myself leaving it in hockey stick view most of the time

Using the hockey stick view myself Heat00. Have real issue with runway display in RS mode. Seems backwards? The HUD display is something I wish I could have deleted too. Barely pay attention to it. Rather have a solid surface there than the window into the upper dash. Be awesome if we could change the HUD display to a targeting reticle for my Aim 120 AMRAAM missiles.

I always use the round dials. I'm also never in RS Performance, so I use Dynamic set up with the round dials.

funny.. me too on all. I can't stand HUD... with polarized lenses it doesn't show anyhow and it's just more unnecessary stuff to look at and distract you at night lol... could definitely uses the amraam's especially driving around here lol.
