Intermittent P105000 and P14AC00 Questions about codes

    Hey all!

Just wanted to bounce some ideas off people if anyone has input!

I have 22 S3 8Y with 22k miles and recently decided to scan with OBDEleven 3 engine codes were shown
    No CEL all codes intermittent
    Exhaust door control Unit 1 & 2
    P14AB00
    P14AC00
Intermittent malfunction no noticeable issues with exhaust flaps car sounds fine with exhaust note!

The one I am most confused about is
    P10500
    Bank 1 Camshaft adjustment (valve)
    Open circuit intermittent
I cannot get this replicated and from my understanding it’s an issue in regards to the car thinking it wasn’t plugged in or wire issues? No noticeable driving issues. I’d imagine if the VVT wasn’t properly functioning there would be very noticeable issues.

Am I correct in my thought process? I disconnected the wire and reconnected it.
Anyone ever have this issue seems very uncommon so I’d thought as ask the forums!

    Thanks,

    Is this car under warranty?

If the ECU posts a code there's something wrong. Disconnecting a wire will not "repair" an issue. It will set off the Canbus and give you more codes.

OBD 11 has a feature called delete codes/reset codes/ erase codes.

Best advise...take in in let the warranty fix it.

Yes the car is under warranty!

My confusion stems primarily that I am assuming open circuit implies detected wiring problem. However, I am not sure. I’m not saying the wire is disconnected as that would not be intermittent fault.

Best bet as you said would be warranty however, the car is tuned. I shall see what can be done. The dealer seems to have a pretty positive opinion on tuned cars but again warranty work goes through Audi of America .

    Sorry for double post!

Due to it not being replicated and being intermittent it won’t get warrantied. Most they will due is inspect the wiring according to Audi. However, I was advised to not be concerned!

    The cars a 2022...22,000 miles...No CEL!

No CEL means its not even serious enough to warn you!

Drive the car and sell the OBD11.

You get a CEL take it in to dealership to repair.
