Ceramic tint on all windows, windshield and sunroof. I had Shades of Gray install 70% ceramic tint on the rear windows which are factory tinted, then I had them measure the tint and match the fronts to the rear with ceramic tint. I believe we ended up with 30% in the front. We did 70% on the windshield and sunroof as well:

Thank you Mops! The B8.5 SQ5 wheels are such a clean design. Too bad they’re so heavy. They’re now on a fellow enthusiast’s B9.5 SQ5 and look fantastic. The wife is a stickler for flat face wheels, so we opted for BC’s RS43 & HB15. Very happy with the look and she is too. 😊

I ordered them through Nemesis Autosport. I agree, it makes a world of difference being able to have full visibility out the rear window.

Yes. It retained the factory heated steering wheel function.
I did not have a good experience with AskCarbon. And they were not good with helping me with the fact that it was not plug n play, despite being told it was. It cost me about $1000 extra all said and done to rewire the steering wheel so it could be installed. With all the being said, they have since corrected that for future orders, and you shouldn’t have a problem should you choose to move forward with ordering from them.

You shouldn’t have a problem since you just ordered and they’ve made adjustments after my experience.

It required the purchase and wiring of an aftermarket wiring module/harness, purchasing an OEM airbag, rewiring the AskCarbon steering wheel to accept the OEM airbag, and the hours behind troubleshooting this. (Not to mention the failed attempts to install the steering wheel at my normal tuning shop, which was unsuccessful because it was not plug-n-play to our surprise.) All said and done, I was around $2200-$2500.

Thank you!! We’re very happy with it. The Mrs. and I drive it about equally and she’s particular with it looking more OEM+, hence the flat face wheels. And sometimes peace is more important than having to explain reasons behind certain decisions.

Thank you!! These car have so much tech especially with the Prestige package it’s crazy. One of my favorite parts of the B9’s is the 360° camera and the ambient lighting for the interior.

I’m not a huge fan of the mid spoiler for the trunk. I think it looks cleaner without it. I’m can be pretty particular. For example, I like the Maxton roof spoiler on the B9/B9.5’s, but I prefer without it on the B8.5 SQ5.

It does! Everything works and everything was tested after installation including lane assist. The heat, the lane assist, all the steering wheel buttons, etc. No functions were lost.

as i have Daytona gray with black optics package, ill be ordering the Maxton Design front/side/rear asap :)

i need to do something about the poor exhaust sound as well as plastic exhaust tips [email protected] went with Audi Diamond Black Sport Exhaust, how is the sound? any difference? @Mops, does AWE have any kind of exhaust for SQ5 at the moment? The AWE track exhaust you hooked me up was amazing!!!

Ill also need to reach out to @AskCarbon to get started on replacing my current wheel, with Flat bottom.

The Maxton Design Kit really transforms the look of the car and makes it look so much more aggressive without being overbearing.

The Audi Sport Exhaust tips doesn’t really change the exhaust note. And if I’m being honest, dare I say it made it a few decibels quieter since you’re adding length to the exhaust instead of the exhaust stopping short of the rear bumper like it does with the OEM setup. But it’s not a significant change.

Mops will likely give you the rundown on what he’d recommend for exhaust. Yes, AWE does make an exhaust system for the B9/B9.5 SQ5. You can pair the AWE catback system with the Audi sport exhaust (the AWE system doesn’t come with real exhaust tips). If you’re planning on going Stage 2, I would recommend doing a high flow cat (we run the CTS HFC) as that gives you a much more audible exhaust note and even wakes up the turbo noises a bit. Pairing that with an intake gives you a symphony of beautiful notes. So I’d wait until AFTER you do the high flow cat (if you’re planning going Stage 2) to determine if you feel like it still needs an aftermarket catback system.
