Oil separator gasket leaking

As I did a piston soak and replaced plugs in an attempt to reduce oil consumption, I decided to replace the oil separator at the same time.
Unfortunately the gasket on the new oil separator seems to be leaking. Cleaned the mounting surface before installing and bolts are tight. Any thoughts?

Did you use an OE or Hengst PCV? Did you tighten in the proper sequence and torque? Very easy to over tighten.

Thanks. I did tighten in a criss-cross fashion, but I didn't have this handy at the time.
