27BQ Recall for Starter/Alternator

Just got the notification for this recall this morning. No issues in my car over the last 20k miles. So I am glad they are proactively replacing them. I guess the issue is farther reaching than just the 2021/2022 models.

I saw someone with a 24 model year Audi, that also got the recall. Has anyone with a 2024 RS6/RS7 received a notice yet?

My dealership is getting me in tomorrow for the replacement, and should only take a couple days.

I have a c8 s6 and got this same recall as well. So might just be the c8 platform overall.

Hmmm i have a 24 RS6 and have yet to get any recall. Will def report back if that changes.

Got the notice to replace the BSG on my 2021 RS6 serial last 4 8450. Scheduled easily at Audi Burlington, MA for December 23rd. Happy to be getting the new part.

Got the recall done on my 2021 A6 allroad, but have not seen a recall for my 2024 RS7.

I have a '24 RS7, no recall notice yet. I wonder if its all or just early production models. I took delivery in Aug of this year.

I have 2024 RS6, delivered Aug 2024. No recall. My understanding (from a LOT of reading and research) is that the 2024 MY RS6/7 have a new part. I am surprised to read of 2024 Audis being recalled. I did read of an A6 Allroad 2024 that was recalled, but haven’t seen anything on 2024 C8 RS6/7. I’ve been following this closely. I too am glad to see Audi FINALLY stepped up to fix this issue (which affected 2021,22,23).

Just dropped mine off today at the dealership for the replacement. Should have the car back by the end of the week.

Jesus, I thought this had been solved for MY2024. Quite disappointing I must say. I was shopping 2024 slow inventory. I guess I could stipulate the warranty repair before delivery in the P&SA, but still.

The new part didn't start getting used until late November 2023 so there are going tp be some 24s with the stinker part that need the updated BSG. 2025 should be the first fully clean MY...and ironically may be the last C8 MY.

My A6 allroad had it done - took them 2 days.

Thanks for that detail. I had been told the fix was implemented earlier.

Got my RS6 back on Monday after they replaced the BSG; also had them check out a clicking noise coming from my front wheels on full lock (they found it was the wheel bearings and fixed it under a prior TSB); and then to top it off they also fixed the buzzing that I had in the front passenger door panel speaker card. Good times at Audi Jacksonville. They got me all squared away though!

Hopefully everyone is getting their BSG recalls taken care off. I had no issues with my car before bringing it in... so hopefully I never do :D. (knocks on wood)

I dropped off my RS6 for a punctured tire last week and they told me its going to get the alternator recall. I never got a letter/email notifying me.

They didnt have a tire in stock but even if they did they said they cant release the car until this recall is addressed. Both parts and tire will come in at the same time so no issue for me but if I really needed the car I wonder if they could keep it from me....

If you made it an issue, they'd give you the car. It's not a recall last I saw... just a service campaign being done in waves.

Got my car back last night, it worked out perfectly they gave me a loaner for 6 days (tire blowout last thursday evening) while they waited on the tire to come in, and meanwhile also waiting for the recall parts. Wouldnt of had the loaner just for the tire since thats not warranty. Was nice to drive a Q3 without worrying about hitting potholes and blowing tires

Just A6, not RS, but... as a data point I got the recall notification for my 2024 A6. (3.0, if that matters)

I purchased the car new in November of 2023, so it must be a early build date for 2024.

I have not called to schedule an appointment yet.
I will check the build date next time I am in it.
