Q7 vs Q8

So the wife's car(SQ5) went into the shop, and they gave us a new Q7 as a loaner. We both like it a lot, and now casually shopping around. But. What are the differences between the 7 and 8? I can't find anything that really jumps out, except some expanded tech options.

Damn. Totally missed the 3rd row. I do prefer the look of the 8, at first glance.

I had a 23 q8 premium plus loaner for 2 days when i had the alignment done on my 4m prestige. I was surprised the q8 felt inferior as a driving experience and wonder if its generational changes or because i replaced the runflats with michelin all seasons, and have the 034 springs/swaybars. Is it possible those changes alone made the difference? I absolutely love the way the q8 looks. If i were in the market, id test drive the same year/level of both to get a accurate comparison.
