Hey Guys,
I had looked for warrany coverage to extend my 2021 RS7 from the end of the factory 4year/48K mile coverage which comes up in November.
I Learned Audi would have charged about $4K for 4 year/48K miles based on current mileage (~24K). Fidelity would have charged just over $5K for similar coverage.
That said, the local dealer won't sell to me given that my car is flagged TD1. PO had tuned the car for some period of time. It's not currently tuned and I didn't plan to tune it . But, the car was flagged at my last visit as having been tuned at some point.
Service manager explained AoA would almost certainly deny anything powertrain related given prior tune despite it is not currently tuned and I had no plan to do so. He said Fidelity would likely deny anything on the powertrain as well and suggested I not buy either warranty and recommended more frequent oil changes (5K interval) rather than 10K/yearly changes for the health of the turbos and rings, etc..
Be advised...
Don't tune unless you're good w/o warranty.
