P24D6 Error. Where is the G950 EVAP system pressure sensor located

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hello,

Just like the title states I asking if anyone knows where the G950 EVAP system pressure sensor switch B is located on 19 RS5 SB? I been getting the P24D6 34275 Evap system presssure sensor "B" circuit range/preformance error the last few days.

    TD1 and out of warranty....

    TIA

I had this same exact code pop up a couple of times last year. It would self clear after a few days/start stop cycles.

I was starting to research a potential faulty pcv hose/valve, but I asked my local euro shop guy and he advised me to never add any more gas after pump clicks off initially (just habitually, id squeeze a bit more in or get the total to a round number, very silly i know).

Either this fixed the issue or it was a placebo and the real issue self corrected, as i haven seen the code sense.

G950 should be tank ventilation pressure sensor 1. It's on the engine, right bank cylinder head, just in front of the N80 EVAP canister purge regulator valve, right under the line coming forward from the N80.

If you go to pic 5 and look below the gray/silver heat wrap on bank 1, to the right of the HPFP, you'll see yellow and gray wires. Just below that is a gray locking tab for a connector. Might be that. The G950 wires on the DECA are yellow/blue on 1, brown/white on 2, brown/green on 3.

But range/perf, could be any number of things. How nice of Audi to forget to document that P code in the EA839 generic scan tool workshop manual. So we don't know the specific metrics that trip that code.

Thank you for the info and pics!

I had this code as well. I replaced the solenoid valve and the MAP sensor connected to it. I guess if one or the other fails, it'll throw the same code. So I just replaced both rather than playing "guess the broken part." It was a super easy install.

Here's a different thread on the issue.

Part #'s are 06M133240CJ (solenoid) and 06H906052A (MAP).

Thanks. I had replaced 06M133240CJ about 6 months ago, but didn’t replace the MAP. I’ll give that a try.

Did you ever resolve this? Dealing with the exact same issue and my local shop hasn’t been now to figure it out.

Yes, replaced the hose and sensor. No more problems.

I am also having the same issue. Only comes up when I shift hard between gears.

Anyone know if this causes power loss?

Where is the sensor? On the intake manifold? Are there two of them?
Audi parts say the part 06H906052A does not fit the B9 RS5

It's not a MAP; it's not on the intake manifold air path. In the EA839 V6 intake air path, there is the G31 charge air pressure/temp sensor between the intercooler and the throttle valve, and then the G71 manifold pressure/temp sensor "MAP" between the throttle valve and intake manifolds. These are both 06E... parts.

For the context of this thread, the pressure sensor involved is the G950 pressure sensor on the vent line from the N80 EVAP purge valve. This line feeds the intake path after the throttle valve under idle and feeds the turbo inlets under boost. Same concept as the EA888 4-cyl. But California wanted a check system to validate the EVAP purge path was operating correctly, so we get the G950 pressure sensor in NAR.

    The G950 on a US B9 RS5 (emissions PR code 7CE) is 06H906052A through MY22, then 06H906052B starting MY23.

The N80 purge valve with line set attached is now 06M133240CJ for through MY23. It's 06M133240EP for MY25. MY24 seems to be a mix of EP and CJ. The catalog does not list CJ as being replaced by EP.

"Audi parts say", you mean parts.audiusa.com? Yeah, Audi USA's parts site gets stuff wrong all the time. Audi AG's parts catalog says the above. Simple enough to look at the sensor on your engine (well, maybe) and see which p/n it is. Google search Audi SSP 655 and look at page 23. The G950 is right after the N80 valve.
