My waterpump is due on my A6 and I was wondering what’s the oem manufacturer of this pump:
Is it HEPU? It's cheaper than OEM.

I'm not sure, but I believe others on AZ have written that Pierburg is the OE supplier to Audi. Check out the long water pump thread by qcrazy.

That's the auxiliary pump you're talking about and yes, it is Pierburg. What I'm talking about is the waterpump right next to thermostat and below coolant crossover pipe.

I wanted to give a chance something other then OEM since I've seen many premature fails with the OEM pump. Also, FCP Euro lifetime warranty.

HEPU is a German manufacturer, I would run it.

Gotcha. Only help I can give is to note that ECS Tuning now also offers "lifetime" warranty, I suppose to compete with FCP Euro. Looks like their option is the OEM pump from unknown supplier.

i put a cheap Amazon one 3 years ago when my engine failed and swapped it over to my used engine and is been 1 year so 4 years total and still hasnt leaked. i bought it for 30 bucks.
