Greetings Audi Fans! Just over a year ago I replaced my daily driver Lexus GS-F with a 2021 Audi RS5 Sportback with 12k miles on the clock, and I must say I’m enjoying the new ride much more than I thought I would! It is the perfect blend of luxury and performance. It really does tick all the boxes for me as far as a daily driver is concerned, and then some.
I’ve been into racing and modifying cars for over 30 years, so naturally I began modifying the RS5 only a week after purchasing it haha! I’ve been trying to vlog each time I do a new modification so that I can share that experience with those who may be interested in modifying their Audi as well.
In my most recent vlog I took the car to a 330’ drag strip to test out the 034Motorsport Stage 2 TCU tune, and had the opportunity to race a fellow Audi owner.

So, back to the beginning. The very first mod I did was a front resonator(s) delete, and 10mm wheel spacers. The sound difference was pretty mild before the tune, but a bit more noticeable after, especially in the crackle department. The spacers worked out great, and going with 10mm was the exact fitment I was looking for. Here is the vlog for the spacers..

Second modification was a Stage 1 ECU/TCU tune. I went with 034Motorsport for the tune, as I really liked their approach to tuning for reliability and performance. The difference was immediate, and with the crackle tune engaged the sounds made me giddy. I know not everyone like pops coming from their exhaust, but I do lol!

Next up on the list I installed a 034Motorsport X34 Carbon Fiber intake system. Not only does it look amazing, but now I can hear all the turbo sounds a lot better. (I love me some turbo noises!) I did a vlog of what the install was like and took it for a test drive to show off the cool sounds. Not the cheapest mod, but I really enjoyed the end result.

Then we performed a tire upgrade and installed a Carbon composite front splitter from TRC (Triple R Composites). The OEM Perelli P-Zero tires are good, but I really like the Michelin Sport 4S tires much more. I went with a 285 width for a little extra grip. I did run into little snag with the wider tire coupled with the spacers on the front. Going over bumps the tire was just barely rubbing on the fender liner fastener at the top of the wheel arch. I did a vlog and POV drive in the canyons to talk about both in more detail.

Now that we have more power, and I wanted to smooth out the feel of the transmission, so I installed yet another great product from 034Motorsport, a Billet Transmission Mount. This was a great bang for your buck modification, and I highly recommend it to anyone. In the vlog I go over the installation process, which was super simple, and then took the car for a test drive to give my impressions.

Next, because I can never be satisfied with how much power my cars have, I switched the car over to an Ethanol (E85) tune. I purchased all the necessary parts to install a Fuel-It ethanol content sensor for piece of mind, and vlog the install for that. After the installation I took it for a test drive, and did some 0-60 Dragy comparisons of 91 octane vs E85.

And my most recent mod to date was installing the Stage2 TCU tune from 034Motorsport. Again, another great mod that made an immediate difference in acceleration, and shown in the Dragy comparison in this video, which I also posted earlier:

That’s all I have for now, and if you guys have any thoughts/questions about what I’ve done so far let me know, and I’d love to hear suggestions for additional modifications you think I should do to the car. Lots more coming soon, so stay tuned!
