    Will be interesting to see

The 2025 Audi RS3 gets refreshed with new exterior and interior styling, which includes a fiercer face and available carbon-fiber-backed seats.
Yeah I saw that too. Unfortunately they don’t explicitly say they’re coming to the US — it’s just a copy/paste from the Audi Media Center.

I’m hoping I’m wrong! We’ll know soon enough.

I'd be more disappointed finding out the standard seats are cooled now. A bucket seat I don't want to pay extra for doesn't really do anything for me.

I think not expecting the upgraded seats in the states is the right assumption to be making.

The only thing I feel like I'm missing is some of the ambient light upgrades the interior got. I don't see any of the exterior changes as an improvement and the interior got worse with the steering wheel and the increased amount of piano black.

Now that we've seen the car I want to see some pricing. I selfishly want to see a nice price increase as it will only help reinforce the price of the PFL. There will definitely be a price increase, but I think the majority of it is going to be from making certain options standard. I saw one guy make a comment saying the price in the UK was going up £10k, but until there's an actual order guide I'd just take that with a grain of salt. I guess it's possible though. If things like the tech pack and sport exhaust become standard and the optional seats have a hefty price on them. Then you add a price increase to make up for the increased cost of production that's happened over the last few years. There could actually be a £10k increase. If you look at the price increase from 8V to 8Y it was pretty minor. It was negligible compared to many other vehicles out there. GTIs and Rs saw a bigger price increase than that, so it wouldn't surprise me if the RS3 price increase was only lagging behind. Then again it doesn't look like the FL S3 went up much.

I for one hope the price doesn't increase much, and I don't think it will. I think as many people as possible should get the chance to experience this engine.

Have a close look at the carbon bucket seats and see that there is a seat adjuster (front to back) just like the manual seats in the 8V. So I would expect that the carbon buckets are manual with a power lumber.

It's also missing the memory buttons.

Ford did the same thing with the RS, shell seats for overseas, but the US got the ones with airbags.

I expect those seats to be EU only, but maybe we get lucky.

I think it's very unlikely we get the buckets in the US, but we can dream. I have Sparco carbon buckets in my Giulia QV and they're flippin' awesome.

Audi seems to be copying BMW more and more - overall the 2025 M2 with carbon seats and roof tempts me more than this new RS3 and 480 rwhp on a dyno (predicted) doesn't hurt

    Few questions I have

There is no mention of the akrapovic exhaust option as in the S3 ?

Also the ambient light upgrades are not visible in any of the YouTube reviews I watched.

Regarding the big ODO in the virtual cockpit. Can a software upgrade bring this for the PFL?

So I did watch a video that seems to explain that the new RS3 will have better exhaust sound. Maybe they tweaked valve behavior.

Also, I found a YouTube video that shows the new lighting.

    https://youtu.be/BFMmAfJMTvI?si=b9HEEizVqb4g_qgK

It also looks like they added more alcantara to the door panels and center arm rest. The interior door handles are a more metallic finish. Everything that used to be aluminum trim looks darker now.

Also, the new carbon buckets do have airbags in them. You can read the airbag logo on the lower frame. Not sure if that means anything for us in the US.

I’m wondering if the front bumper will be interchangeable with the current 8y. I like the look a little more. I personally love the honeycomb grill, gives it that nice aggressive look to me but the new grill has a sportier and luxury feel somehow when I look at it.

I don’t like the new lights. Nothing in there screams I want to jump up to a 25 from a 24. Over all as a daily, this has been my favorite car I’ve driven and owned so I’m glad I jumped on it when I could.

Sounds trivial, but hopefully the 2025 has a heated steering wheel and remote start. Sorry purists, I live in the Northeast.

From the reports and videos I see, the 2025 sounds louder and by design, plus a better tire. So that alone makes me happy. I'm past the days of jacking up my car and tearing out the exhaust for AM pieces. I am getting old(er) I guess, because after long days at work I like driving in calm comfort whereas when Friday hits and I see that M2 in the other lane a little more pop and bang at the flick of a button is a nice thing to have, from the factory.

Seems that they achieved this with different valve programming lower down the rev range. Nothing you can't achieve with a valve controller for even more flexibility. Add in mid pipes and it's pretty much perfect.

I feel like the FL needs a painted grill surround, but then you've basically got a S3 with a different grill pattern.

I wonder if the new console gear selector can swap over to the 8Y.1. The clit shifter is like one of the worst parts of the interior on the pre-facelift IMO.

Clit shifter... LOL. I dunno man. It may entice you to go from D to S back to D more often!

Now that would be amazing! Like you, to me worst part besides the gloss black surround.

I was just thinking that last night. I quite like the AWE and mid pipe combo I have heard. Perhaps new stock exhaust plus midpipes only would be all that is needed. Be nice to save $3k.

Was anyone else in downtown NYC and saw the new black 2025 RS3? (Church St.) I could not pull the phone out quick enough but it was it. The front looked killer and rear with new F1 style diffuser . It had no emblems on the rear and Michigan plates.

Well not saying you are telling a tall tale, but speaking to my sales rep at a large Audi dealer conglomerate on the East Coast, he tells me orders are likely not before very close to the end of the year with delivery in 2025. If you go on Audi you can't build one yet.

Well that's kinda what I am thinking. It's no surprise when automakers release a new or refreshed model out in the public to make it seem random. Builds interest and does exactly what we are doing right now. No worries bro. Too bad you didn't grab a pic

It’s fun to see real pics. I actually think the facelift looks a little worse than the PFL in black. But ultimately they look so damn similar in the real world. I do think Ascari Blue with those wheels is going to look pretty great.

I’m also realizing with the headlights and DRL being a thin strip at the top, they’re trying to make it look more like the new A5/A6 even as they reuse the old housing.

Just saw a comment saying the 2025 is £10,000 more than a 2022 RS3 was. Looks like it's £5,000 more than the top 2024 spec. We'll have to see how that translates to a US spec car and USD.

I think I am going to get shot for this opinion being posted on the internet, but here it goes...

I feel like the 8Y was a little outside of the 'Audi design norm', and took the C8 RS6 design, then took it away from the line. I kind of get it where some 8V owners are so turned off because it was such a 'crazy' design.

The 8Y.5 seems to circle back to the new 'Audi design norm'. When I see the live pictures above, it almost seems like we came back to that 'normal'. Maybe the black hides things that other colours might highlight. This is almost meant for those ol'8Vers to think 'well I had this RS3 since new, I am kind of want to replace it because ___, and oh look at the 2025 RS3...'

It looks like the back bumper will fit so I will probably give it a go. It isn’t as good as I hoped but it is better because of how bad the PFL is.
