probably different headlights and taillights, there will be a horsepower bump but HP is just a number, people have already dyne's at the wheels higher than the 8y numbers.

You can't find anything because it hasn't been announced yet.

When it is announced you will find things.

New colors, new bumpers and lights, probably some small package reconfigurations.

Haven't heard anything about RS3 refresh/face lift... probably just some cosmetic changes.

I am doubting we're going to see a power upgrade. Maybe we get a slight bump like the performance model got, but I wouldn't count on anything significant.

Will we see the facelift models in the US this year or do they release a year behind EU like when they release new generations?

    thanks for all the replies
I know nothing is official yet
but hoping for some inside information/speculation from the group
I assumed same/similar cosmetic changes on the outside and inside like S3
    but wondering about drivetrain

As full send that Audi is going Electric, the chances of a major refresh of the RS3 outside of cosmetic feels unlikely. We are actually lucky to even get one with how hard they pivoted to the electric bandwagon.

Cant really give it a HP bump because anymore and you're competing with the 444hp RS5...It's going to get all the S3 interior upgrades/changes, the new bumpers and headlights...all stuff we should be able to get from the parts department if we want to "upgrade".

For me, the door cards with the leds and cup holder leds are the only thing i would want.

I think they'll give it a power bump. I'm also hoping it gets some interior improvements — a steering wheel that doesn't feel like it came out of a school bus would be nice. Hopefully some other needed changes like better DCT tuning as well.

I rented a 2021 RS5 using Turo about a month ago in Miami and was pretty surprised at how similar they feel in the power department. The RS5 really needs a power bump. I was not impressed after driving my 8Y and in the past, a G80 M3c.

The wheel is big and combined with the high seating position and lack of steering feel yeah it's giving Q7. Compared to the inputs in my FL5 it sucks — really hoping they'll make it feel more special for the 8.5.

You would think it’d be soon. June is when they unveiled the 8Y and with no 2025 order guide for the A3/S3/RS3 yet, my guess is within a couple of weeks.

Facelift partially unveiled today, and set a new record at the Nurburgring:

    https://media.audiusa.com/releases/607

Overall, I'm glad to see they fixed some of the awkwardness seen on the facelift A3/S3, but still not sold on the updated Audi rings and placement, or the new headlight design. Powertrain confirmed to be the same, as expected. Curious to see the final design without camo in due time, but not seeing anything truly groundbreaking here that makes the current car feel dated. Good luck to all still waiting for allocations!

Yep - same as in the A3/S3 facelift. That section now appears to the be the fog/all weather light like in the 8V.

Genuinely prefer the pre-FL DRL signature - super aggressive and distinctive with the thin upper line and outer lower checkerboard.

I really do like they gave it a front "lip", as until I added an aftermarket one to mine it didnt look right to me. The Audi rings look super high to me though...I just cant understand why they had to put them nearly on the hood lol.

Dont think you will see many bumper or headlight swaps but I do know ill be looking into the updated shifter, door cards and lighted cupholders.

    From the press release....

What is the optional sport suspension? Wondering if mechanical parts and presumably updated software will be available for 22-24 NYs?

We get the sport suspension in the US be default. In other countries our suspension is optional. I believe that's what they mean.

Seems that the Nurburgring account on Instagram has posted an onboard clip of the lap as well - looks like we’re getting a circular tach similar to the 8V. Nice improvement over the runway tach IMO.

The interior shows the old central tach (from the 8v) is back. Flat bottom and top for the steering wheel. The 8V had brake torque vectoring on the front. This is not new, but has software changes.

I'd be interested in a software update to have better turn in like the one that has that record lap. Different tires were used, which I'd think will be an option. Hope the production model gets the same time, which would overtake the new M2!

Hah, indeed! Well spotted on the steering wheel too, I hadn’t noticed at first. Not sure I love the flat-top, would rather have just the bottom be flat, but I do prefer it to a fully-round wheel at least.

Looks like the e-tron RS wheel. I wonder if the central tach software change can be programmed into the pre-2025 cars.

Ugh, the steering wheel looks like it has haptic buttons like the MK8 GTI. Really digging everything else.

Yeah the haptic buttons are such a weird choice after VW already backtracked on them after all the negative reviews. Granted, maybe Audi can get away with it because the rest of the controls are still good, but it feels like a step backwards.

Am I right in saying this means the RS3 doesn’t have a physical volume knob now? It’s haptic buttons on the wheel or that iPod-style thing in the centre now, I guess.
