Well all, the time has come for me to sell the RS5. I picked up a 2nd Gen R8 as my new project car and although I could keep the rocketship sedan, I think it is better served for a new owner who will enjoy it on a daily basis.

$45k is honestly a pretty fair price considering the wrap, the irreversible damage you did to your headliner, and the fact that it’s got those foot long stick-on paddle extensions

I think they’re talking about how the headliner has the fiber optic tubes in it to imitate Rolls Royce’s Starlight Headliner. You can see it in some of the interior shots.

People have to remember they are buying someone else's idea of what they thought was cool. Starlight headliner, wrap, and paddle extensions might not be your thing, then don't bid on the car.

yeah people are too harsh lol, this build has a ton of high quality parts. the hivemind of what looks good is annoying, it's like how on the audi sub reddit, anything that falls under what people think is the way to build a car is shit on. the gate keeping is more cringe than any mods I've ever seen.

it's not your car, you don't have to drive or look at it. There's probably a line of people ready to shit on your builds if you post it.

yeah you got roasted but it was perfect storm
(1) ppl love hating on black wheels nowadays, esp since most amateur photos make the black wheel fade into the abyss
(2) it makes it look like it has big tires which ppl love running over sized wheels and thin tires whereas ppl who actually track would get more tire lmao and smallest possible wheel that clears brakes for less mass
(3) ppl don't like red accents outside of small touches, see all the ppl who put red accents on diffusers lips etc....
(4) a lot of ppl hate on R8 and RS car posts cause there is a jealously factor
(5) the sub reddit is mostly dead and full of boring posts compared to b58/s58 so when there is a post that gets any traction, everyone wakes up to go into the thread because it's so dead otherwise
