Exclamation MY 2012-2015 A4, A5, or Q5 timing chain class action settlement proposed....

Just got a postcard addressed to me from a class action that has been settled from Timing Chain Settlement pending final approval from the court adjudicating. The listed website is www.timingchain-settlement.com. and you have to submit a claim online. I had an indy complete a timing chain service last year so this is good news if I can recoup some or all of the costs for the job. Anyone else get the postcard?

typically this doesn't over any type of proactive repair. just repair due to failure..I'd word that stuff carefully before submitting

You knew this was a design issue and took proactive measures to prevent catastrophic damage, potentially saving Audi from paying to replace a cylinder head or complete motor. Sorry, you have to pay for it yourself.

Lol...I filled out the paperwork and will submit it...took no time and sending it out via USPS...so costing just postage. I figured I'd let Audi kick my nuts via a nice form letter denying the claim then kicking my nuts myself...

Agree with all posts. But ya corporate and legal stuff doesn't always make practical sense, this is the world we live in... be it bizarre or otherwise. I submitted all my stuff electronically and it took less than 5 minutes. I don't expect to get much, if anything, but it also cost me nothing and sometimes in life you just have to roll the dice.... I have won shooting the moon and lost slam dunks.. you never really know.

Has anyone seen or received payout on this class action? Received a notice to provide proof-of-payment for the timing chain service I had a local indy shop do in 2023. Figured no harm in running this to ground. Anyone else has had success?
