I need help because I am freaking out right now. My car has a bit over 105K miles and is for the most part running well. No lights / no codes (other than an intermittent backup camera open) and the only issue is slightly rough idle in the mornings or when the car is cold, with some hesitation / misfires are lower rpms when cold. Once the car warms up it's running fine.
I am almost 100% sure that this is all due to carbon build up and it needs a carbon cleaning. However I was reading and found that the Camshaft Adjuster Magnet can cause similar issues so I ran the test with my Vagcom and it failed. I wasn't sure if the carbon build up could cause this test to fail or not so I decided to try a new Camshaft Adjuster Magnet since it's easy to change while I wait for a weekend to do my carbon cleaning.
I figure I would try a cheaper Camshaft Adjuster Magnet and see if it fixed the issue. I bought this one from Amazon since it was on the cheaper side, came quick and seemed to have good reviews other than questionable longevity. I figured even it if didn't last it would answer my question on whether the test failed due to a bad unit or carbon build up.
After I swapped the adjuster magnet, I started the car and it was a little rough still. I then took it around the block and before I was halfway down the street my EPC light came on. I have never had this light on so I turned around and scanned it with my Carista. I was SHOCKED to see all the codes:
Basic OBD2:
P0010 (Pending) - "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit/Open Bank 1
P0245 (Pending) - Turbocharger/Supercharger Wastegate Solenoid "A" Low
P0300 (Pending) - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected

P2088 (Pending) - "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Control Circuit Low Bank 1
Engine:

07224 - Cam Shift Actuator "A" Cylinder 4: Circuit/Open
07227 - Cam Shift Actuator "B" Cylinder 4: Circuit/Open
09490 - Oil pressure regulation valve: Short circuit to Ground (GND)
Back-up camera:
02203 - Audio-/video input 1: Open circuit
The only code I have seen before is the Back-up camera and the rest are new. I tried to clear them first while the engine was running, and then again with just the ignition on, but both times the codes would immediately return. So I swapped out the new adjuster magnet with my original and started the car. The car ran better but the EPC light was still on, so I tried to clear the codes again and some came right back again.

I then got my laptop and tried to clear them with Vagcom and it said it cleared them, but when I checked it still had all these:
18062 - Coolant Pump 2
10336 - Thermostat for Transmission
9490 - Oil Pressure Regulation Valve
7206 - Cam Adjustment Actuator A; Cylinder 1
7209 - Cam Adjustment Actuator B; Cylinder 1
7218 - Cam Adjustment Actuator A; Cylinder 3
7221 - Cam Adjustment Actuator B; Cylinder 3
7224 - Cam Adjustment Actuator A; Cylinder 4
7227 - Cam Adjustment Actuator B; Cylinder 4
7212 - Cam Adjustment Actuator A; Cylinder 2
7215 - Cam Adjustment Actuator B; Cylinder 2
2798 - Bank 1 Camshaft A (Intake) Position Actuator
2972 - Intake Manifold Flap; Bank 1
2984 - Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
4235 - Evap System Purge Control Valve (N80)
4269 - Turbocharger Bypass Valve Control Circuit
All of the Vagcom codes say "Not Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear" so I'm not quite sure what this means. Are these going to clear on their own? The car runs like it did before so that's good at least but I just can't seem to clear these code and turn off the light.
Did this cheap part from Amazon ruin my car? Didn't think an electro-magnet could mess up the car like this. :(
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. I'm supposed to swap cars with my wife in two days and don't want her to end up stranded in my car while I'm away.
P.S. I'm also confused with the "10336 - Transmission coolant valve: Short circuit to Ground (GND)" code. Does my manual transmission even have this?
