Does anyone know the correct part number for the center armrest lid for a 2007 RS4? The back hinges on my lid snapped, so I assume I need to replace the whole lid?

When I search I get multiple parts that seem to fit, which doesn't seem correct. https://www.audipartsstore.com/searc...Lid&ptid=47260

when i look at your link, the 4th one down seems like it would be the correct part (assuming you are wanting black leather)...

That is a great source. Thank you. The only issue is it identifies six options:

    8E0864245AF - Valcona Leather
    4B0864245AP - Valcona Leather
    8E0864245M - Silk Nappa Leather
    4B0864245AM - Silk Nappa Leather
    8E0864245J - Pearlnap Leather
    4B0864245AL - Pearlnap Leather

Do you have any clue as to what the difference between the 8 and 4 model numbers is? As well, how do I identify which leather matches my car?

Take a look at the underside of the lid. There is most likely a part number there beginning with "8E0".

No luck. Lid shows no part number. Maybe it was on the hinge that is broken off?

When i go onto that same page (https://audi.7zap.com/en/usa/audi+rs.../8/863-863050/)...

under #46 in "armrest" (#46 is the armrest lid in the diagram)... one of the part numbers is the original that i pointed out to you above (in my post #2)...

    8E0864245M 86R

'86r' on the end is the color code designation...
    86R = 'soul black'

If you want to get 100% certainty of the exact part number that was on your exact car... call any Audi dealership on Monday/Business day and ask to speak to parts department... give them your vin and ask for the armrest-lid part# and availability.
They will confirm the above part number etc (8E0 864 245M 86R) based on your vin and then if it is still available, they should give you the option to buy it through them directly.

Either way at the very least you will have the exact part number that you need confirmed and can go from there.

Do you know an aftermarket brand/product that is decent? Any tips for transferring leather trim over to not break maybe clips that may be involved?

I need to to this too and have been dealing with one broken plastic hinge since I got the car

In the same boat right now...just happened recently but haven't had the time to search for a replacement yet.

I transferred the leather from one lid to another before, not to difficult.

On your brand question, I have had 2 different generic ones on 2 different Audi’s from the 2000s and they were both fine. Just need to make sure you get one with the right hinge spacing as there were 2 different designs. Just go slow with a plastic pry tool to get them apart. The clips are a bit different on the OE vs aftermarket so you will need to use your preferred plastic adhesive to bond them.

RS4 not listed as compatible in the list, but has anyone use this product on our cars?

An audi dealer said the proper part number is 4B0864245AL73G, which is odd given that it starts with 4B.

    That is very odd,
I checked mine (plus 2 other vin#s from others) on a few cars and they all super-cede down to "8E0 864 245 J 73G", with "73G" designating "soul black"

I just bought and installed this one off ebay. Out of Latvia I think. I believe this is correct part number. If I'm not mistaken there are color, material, and texture (pearl-nap, no pearl nap) called out in the part numbers. Can't seem to find the site I was on that showed all the variations, but here is the description from an audiparts site for the one I got:

    Fits RS4 (2007 - 2008)

BODY & COMPONENTS, leather, w/mobile phone, black. BODY & COMPONENTS, leather, w/mobile phone, w/pearlnap, black. Pearlnap leather, black.

    EBAY Ad:
New Genuine Audi B6 B7 C5 Black Nappa Leather Armrest Lid 4B0864245AL73G OEM

    US $283.70

Came in original packaging unopened. Pricey, not as pricey as the dealership, but the right one (I think).

    Think I found it.

If you click on each armrest lid you can read the descriptions. Lot of variations. Not sure how the "mobile phone" / "no mobile phone" affects just the lid, but it's one of the variations.

    Good Luck in the search.

Ordered the Bremmen out of curiosity but won't be here when its delivered, will more than likely swap the leather over after I compare them but it looks like I don't have the original...no surprise.

I'm even more confused now. I purchased 8E0864245J73G and it doesn't even to seem to fit my armrest console.

It looks nothing like the original lid both in the type of leather (not smooth texture), shape of hinges (must bigger hinges), and even sizing of the front clip is smaller width.

    Original Bottom. 8E0864245J73G top.

    Original Left. 8E0864245J73G right.

You and the dealer are correct that 4B0864245AL73G is the correct part for my car.

If anyone is looking for a 8E0864245J73G I have a brand new one for sale!

Bremmen works just fine, swapped the pad over to the new lid.
