B9 s4 upgraded charge pipes a necessity?

Hi all, looking to get a quote on upgrading to IE's non-sport intercooler and shop is asking if I wanted to upgrade the charge pipes as well. Not too familiar with car parts yet and was wondering if it's something I should consider a necessity to get done or not? I'm just trying to not get ripped off lol, thanks in advance!

I'd say only if you are running much higher boost like a stage 3 type setup. Otherwise the charge pipes won't make much of a difference.

Only planning to go stage 1 for reliability reasons, thanks for the advice!

Definitely not required. For stage 1 & 2; an IC + tune is worth it in any climate, high flow cat for stage 2 obv, and that's all you need on pump gas. I've run the same times with and without anything else, it's just not necessary until you're on a bigger turbo.

An intercooler + pump gas tune is all 95% of buyers will ever need, and you can spend the rest on suspension bits and wheels!

I honestly don?t think they?re even a necessity on hybrid turbos to be honest.
