    S5 MMI not working?

I recently purchased a 2009 S5 from a private seller, and it works perfectly except for the fact that the radio doesn't work. I have seen YouTube videos and I can't seem to fix it. The fuses are perfectly fine and in their correct spots. When I turn the car on the mmi turns on for like 2 seconds and then it turns off. The MMI physical controls on the center dash don't light up either. Has anyone else had this issue and has anyone fixed it?

Do you know if the PO had installed an android auto/car play unit? It could be that things were not properly reconnected when it was removed. I have seen this scenario a few times

No they didn't have that at all. I was thinking about just buying one myself but I was seeing if anyone else had this issue.

There's nothing unusual about this issue. MY09 has MMI 2G, assuming it's actually MMI and not radio. The unit in the dash above the climate controls is the 6-disc changer and says Audi cd changer? That would be MMI 2G. There's a lot of devices on the MOST optical ring, and if any device is not working, the ring is broken and the system goes down. The amp and radio units in the left rear are the most common culprits, but could be anything. There's 9 different devices on the ring in B8.0 MMI 2G High.

The normal first step would be to run the ring break diagnosis in VCDS and see what the devices report back regarding electrical and optical status.
