    2017 S3 Headlight Adjustment

I feel like an idiot posting this since I should be able to figure this out... but I am bit stumped and can't figure out what to do. Searched a bit here and came up short on what I was looking for. Hoping someone smarter than I can point me in the right direction...

Basically the TL;DR is this - I replaced my passenger headlight as the bottom DRL LEDs had stopped working. I know, seems heavy-handed but replacing that LED module requires disassembling the headlight. No thanks! Either way - replaced it and everything works great... I even might have to replace my driver headlight since the DRLs are now mismatched in their color. But the aiming is off and I need to adjust the passenger headlight up. I tried fiddling with the adjusters on the headlight but got nowhere that I could tell.

Is there a trick to this I'm not thinking of? Do I need a VCDS cable or a OBD11 dongle to put the headlights into some kind of "adjusting" mode? Any help here is appreciated!

I feel even dumber posting this comment. I figured out the height adjustment. Was using the wrong bit in my screwdriver set.

Only problem is that the lateral adjustment is doing a whole lot of nothing no matter how much I spin it. Sigh...

vcds code it first. it resets to level. then you can do the manual adjustments.

its a cool tech but stupid at the same time.

Returning the headlight (or at least attempting to) since the adjuster is broken
