clutch adaptation help

Hey need some help doing some clutch adaptations. Had flashed Kyle's tune, went on to follow his next instructions for the adaptations on VCDS.

ATF temp 42C
no fault codes

step 1 is "IDE02294 - Main pressure valve calibration"... this finished correctly.

step 2 is IDE02295 - Calibration of clutch valves"... this failed. Response was "aborted-safety reasons"

Then I receive a transmission malfunction: no reverse gear message.

Step 3 would be "IDE02298 - Adaptation of clutch kiss points".

I've followed Kyle's instructions before and it worked fine. However this time I cannot get it to pass calibration of clutch valves. Any guidance would be much appreciated.

the safety reasons is likely cause the e brake wasn't applied..
