Hi all,

Since the TT MKI, I always wanted to own one. It was until August 2018 I was I able to buy a brand new Audi TT RS 8S 2018.

I was very happy with my car, but having this disease (tuning cars), I started planning what to do next with it.

When I saw the Audi Performance Parts Aerokit 1, I fall in love with it. At first I didn’t liked the canards that much and also wasn’t sure about the Audi Performance Parts hood lid and carbon fiber scoop, a thing I would regret later on, because it was really hard to source one.

Alex europrice helped me out sourcing all the available parts and bringing them from Europe (it was a time when the Aerokit 1 wasn’t available trough Audi Dealers on this side of the pound). It was a race against product existence since by then Audi had already announced the closure of the Audi Performance Parts program for street cars (R8, TT and some RS-3 bits). Also my wallet was playing against me since these parts aren’t cheap at all.

After a long time we were avale to source all the TT RS’ Audi Performance Parts for my car with the help of Alex europrice as I mentioned before. Thanks for all your help, support and patience.

The last part of this puzzle was the hood which a bought from a friend at Asia who bought an Audi R8 and parted out his hood.

I also managed to source a complete set of exterior and interior vinyls from the Audi TT RS 40 Jahre QUATTRO which are for a facelift Audi TT 8S and mine is a prefacelift.

This is the final result. Thanks for all of you that helped me out through this process.

Looking good my man. Wish I had the $ to afford the OEM Aero Kit. Ending up getting various pieces from Automotive Passion instead, including the OEM Performance wheels. Would love the OEM rear wing as I prefer the straight side blades than the angled on the AP one.

Thanks for your kind words! It’s being a long road for me to get my car close to how I want it.

The Automotive Passion parts are amazing as well; they’re high quality parts.

Great you could source the OEM Audi Performance Parts wheels.

    Thanks again!

You can go with Eurobahn Dynamics or Dark Matter if you want an exact replica of the OEM AudiSport wing.

Should still be on his car. The vent is sold separately and the hood gets cut up.

The original AudiSport hood vent is what I’m talking about. It comes as just the vent and you have to cut your hood to install it.

Yep, I understood you… I’m just saying I thought he got the actual Audi Sport hood itself as well

Check my posts. Tried reposting the pic. I got the last Audi sport hood. You get a primed hood and vent. That’s the reason it cost so much. Not just the vent you pay for.

I have so much need for the Audi Sport hood. lol. Dont want to chop up my existing one and have the vent sitting on top vs down flush in the recess.

Definitely still can get the scoop for $$$, but the hood was way more expensive and is long gone. He has the real deal which is very cool.

While we are on the topic of hood vents, has anyone stumbled across a functional hood that has proper venting that doesn't require you to modify it after purchase in the aftermarket? I know a couple used to exist and MComposit can technically make you one, too but, I'm just looking for other options.

Didnt know MComposit made one. Not sure though on carbon fiber for a hood. Anderson Composites requires heat shielding if you want their warranty. I dont want that boy racer look with a garbage underside appearance with the hood popped. Not sure if MComposit requires it or if their warranty notes anything of the sort.

After speaking with them, they can make one that resembles the TT Cup hood--with an upcharge, of course. The underside of their hoods are raw and unfinished so, it'll look like crap no matter how you look at it. Also, quite infamously, someone I know actually had an MComposit hood crack in half mid-pass on the strip so, it makes me apprehensive, you know?

Yea thats not reassuring, I'll stick with stock or add the cutout. Way safer!

    Hi,

Did you bought it from Europrice? I was going to buy it from him and when I was doing the payment he told me “Hey Beto, hold on with the payment the last hood is already sold, just a few minutes ago”. So I was very sad, it took me two years to source one.

I’ll check out and let you know, but there’s a German brand that makes the Audi Performance Parts’ hood replica all in carbon fiber and goes through rigorous structural tests before being sold.

Got it, if using a laptop it’s hard to do it, unless you have Photobucket or a similar online album which generates individual links for each picture.
