Class action suit: oil consumption and fractured pistons

Has anyone had this problem with their Mk3 TT?

I got a letter in the mail and looked up the VIN for my 2016 TT base coupe and it's included in the settlement. I guess I thought this CNTC motor was basically the same as in a VW GTI of the same vintage, so I'm curious if anyone has had this problem.

Here are some links for context:

Looks like we have until 4/15/24 to file for a settlement. I've not had any problems - I just bought this car in July 2023 with 84k miles on it and I've changed the oil and done some other maintenance and it's running great at 89k miles. I'm in the middle of installing APR's DTR6054 and just wonder what's going on here - if this is really a problem with this motor while not seeing that it's a problem with the Mk7 GTI which has pretty much the same motor.
