Congratulations. Beautiful ride. I also have a 2021 RS7. I live in northern Indiana (by South Bend) and it drives great in the snow. I bought it in 2022 with only 5,000 on the odometer, so almost brand new. I didn't buy it from an Audi dealer, but a private dealer that sells high-end luxury vehicles. I have not, nor am I going to, tune mine or do anything with the exhaust or, really, the vehicle in general. Just not my thing. It already came with super dark tinted windows, and I won't be changing anything on the vehicle. That said, I still have some information that you may find helpful based upon my experiences:
1. The biggest possible issue with it, as previously mentioned, is the 48 volt mild hybrid system/alternator. It's a very common problem, and I do agree with the other poster that it's a crap shoot. There's no way to know if your car will suffer from it. Shortly after I bought my RS7, I received a letter from Audi that essentially stated that it's a known problem, the warranty has been extended to 7 years (if I remember correctly), Audi will reimburse you if you've already paid out of pocket to have it replaced, and Audi will cover a certain amount of rental car fees while your Audi is being fixed. A few months ago, I was driving to get a haircut and BOOM all sorts of warning lights started throwing up! The A/C shut off, too. Unfortunately, I just can't remember exactly what warnings popped up on the digital dash, but there were three or four - something like all wheel drive malfunction, differential malfunction, check engine, and battery malfunction. I immediately assumed that it was the 48 volt mild hybrid/alternator problem. From what I've read, when it happens, you only have roughly 30 minutes of drive time before the car dies and you cannot jump it. Luckily, when it happened, I was only 12 miles from my local Audi dealer. I slowly and carefully drove it to the dealership, and my assumption was right: the 48 volt mild hybrid/alternator failed. They had FIVE other Audis at the dealership with the same problem waiting for the parts from Germany. My car was at the dealership for six full weeks until the parts came in and it was repaired. They provided me with a free loaner, and nothing was charged to me since it was all covered under warranty. In addition to all of this, be sure that you check online, or have the dealership check, for any unresolved recalls. I have had a handful of recall notices sent to me by Audi, all of which I had done at the dealership for free. Other than the failure of the 48 volt mild hybrid/alternator issue, I've had zero problems with my RS7.
2. Before I bought it, and since it was used, I called the original selling dealership in Rhode Island to ask if they had any important service notes. I'm so glad I called, because the service advisor told me that the original owner purchased the Audi Care prepaid maintenance package, which follows the car. The dealership I bought it at didn't even know about it, so I sure am glad I called the original selling dealership, because with the package, all of my oil changes and required maintenance (except tire balance, rotation, and alignments) are free for 50,000 miles - and that's a savings of thousands of dollars. The original selling dealer told me that the 40,000 service itself is roughly $2,000!
3. Does your RS7 have the standard Bang & Olufsen stereo, or does it have the Advanced system? If you're unsure, the Advanced system has the rise-up tweeters in the dash and bright silver speaker grills in the doors. Mine has the Advanced system. I was, to say the least, quite underwhelmed with the sound quality. No highs; no treble even with the treble setting all the way up. All music platforms I tried sounded pretty bad. Definitely not worth the $4,900 Audi charges for the Advanced system. It's absolutely ridiculous that there is no midrange control - only bass and treble. To make a long story short, I found a solution: I signed up for Spotify premium, which has a built-in equalizer, and MAN does it make all the difference. The sound quality is night and day! By adjusting the equalizer settings in the car stereo itself, and the equalizer settings in Spotify, I now love the stereo! I haven't had any issues with the door trim, speaker grills, or speaker casings rattling/buzzing like some people on here (luckily).
I hope some of this information is helpful to you! Thanks.
