Motor oil coming out of lower control arm front passenger side?

After getting the tow when my motor seized the flatbed had a pool of oil directly underneath that side...not under transmission or motor.

I jacked up the car and couldn't find anything, but some moisture....except dark oil identical to motor oil thinned out dripping from the main lower control arm bushing. He did anchor this chain and hook around it to pull it onto the flatbed.

Is there oil in the bushings of the lower control arms now? I know the previous generations motor mounts had purple fluid in them. I've read our cars have oil in the motor mounts, but in the control arm bushings too???

Does it look something like this?

This is a very common failure/wear item on the B8. The photo is mine at 71K miles, one side was showing failure, replaced both. As you can see, they have black hydraulic fluid. I believe the motor mounts also have this type of fluid.

The next thing to go on the front suspension will be the upper control arm bushings.

Yes, but the small puddle was big enough it seemed like an oil leak. I can't believe there's that much in there...it is a large bushing and even small amount of oil looks like a lot when it spills.

Yeah, there's more than you think in there. Same thing just happened on my car. Changed those and in the process, noticed all the other dried out bushings. Few weeks later, replaced all the rest of the front suspension. Drives like new.

Oh yeah, did the motor mounts a few months ago too. LH was leaking.

    Collecting rear suspension parts next.

The large subframe bushing for the guide links (the lower curved arms) was originally a 65mm conventional bushing. But NVH complaints, apparently more so from NAR than RoW :-), led them to change it to a 75m hydraulic bushing starting MY10. Though not across the board, 65mm conventional was still used in RoW for a time, etc.
