    Suspension + Swaybars + Endlinks

Hello, I’m about to buy a few things for the car, a little prep for the spring (backroads and hopefully some track days). I’m currently looking at this setup:

Suspension: KW V3, with H&R Damper Cancel Kit, I drive the car on RS Mode 99% of the time so I don’t really care about the adaptive damper, plus I was looking at the KW one and is not super reliable.

Swaybars: H&R. Front, 27mm with two adjustments (planning on running the soft setting); Rear, 25mm with only one adjustment.

Endlinks: This is where I’m troubled, I’ve been looking at 034, Neuspeed, and recently found out that IE has some too.

Anyone else running the setup? Which configuration did you ended up doing? How has it tuned out? Something you would replace?

I have a KW V3 set up not installed yet. I have the H&R not installed but will be installed within the next couple of weeks. If you haven't purchased the KW V3 you can still buy my set-up for a very reasonable price, I haven't used it yet.

Do you have the part numbers for both?

^^ I am glad that you asked. Actually I thought that I purchased H&R but I did purchase Neuspeed rear sway bar instead. As far is the KW, the part number is the same for the 8V and the 8Y and is 352 10 0AL. I have the complete kit with canceller. You can have it for $2200 shipped to your door.
    My kit is manually adjustable.

I've been using 034 endlinks (with their sway bars) for a while, no problems, work as expected. No extra noises.

I have been using the H&R rear sway bar along with the OEM endlinks. It has been almost 3 yrs now with this combo and it has been completely silent.

I chose the H&R bar because it comes with bushings that are a urethane/Teflon composite, which are supposed to remain quiet and not need periodic lubing. Over the decades, I have spent far too much time removing and regreasing swaybar bushing. The H&R bushings are great!!!

For endlinks, I had originally installed Superpro but they were continually making so much clunking and noise, despite all my efforts to correct the problem. The Superpro's appear to too long to match up well with the H7R bar. So, I put on my OEM endlinks and they have been perfectly quiet...and have held up well.

For springs, I have been using the 034. They work well with the OEM magride shocks.

I am running the Superpro fixed camber plates. They have been completely quiet now for over 2 yrs - however, I did take the camber plates apart prior to installation to lube the crap out of the bushing before installing it. My total front camber is about -2.6....which may seem like a lot for a daily driver (though driven aggressively on the street)....but surprisingly I am getting perfectly even tire wear up front!

Sway Bars - My vote is for Eurocode. They are super beefy and somewhat lightweight compared to the solid steel bars. I had them on my MK7.5 GolfR and they fit the MQB EVO platform as well. You also cant beat the pricing on them especially when they are on sale.

The end links I believe the only real benefit would be from rear end links. The front ones are already metal so no real gain on those. If you dont want any noise at all, get the cheap MOG rear end links for a MK7 Golf R. I think they are like $25 each on RockAuto. They are solid steel and greaseable. A lot of the MK7 guys swear by them on their track cars.

Thanks for the input, ended up getting The H&R swaybars, both front and rear, end links are neuspeed, and suspension is KW V3 with H&R DDC delete.

So far the car feels great and is actually pretty comfy but responsive, I put the suspension 5-6 clicks stiffer (dump) from the Out of the box setting all around, the only thing I’m tuning now is the ride height, the rear rubs with heavy bumps.

I have the kw dcc coilovers and white line front and rear sway bars with their end links and vorshlag camber plates in the front. Super happy with the setup.

^^ It looks bad ass. I am having my KW V3 installed on the 3rd. I have Neuspeed rear 25mm sway bar to be installed also. I will be doing the brake lines, castrol SRF fluid and I am looking for pads right now. did you wrapped your car on matte black? how much of a drop did you ended up going with?

Stealth PPF, I want to raise it.

Current setup, from the KV recommended adjustments:
    - Front 6-7 clicks on the Bump Stiffer (+)
    - Front 12.5 mm spacers, rubbing at a bit pass one rotation of the steering wheel.

    - Rear maxed out Bump stiffer
    - 15 mm spacers, rubbing due to road bumps (on hard ones like a end of a steep bridge / road)

I don’t know the current setup of how the suspension is but I’d leave a finger / one and a half finger from the tip of the wheel to the fender.

^^ Thanks for the feedback. When you mentioned "click" I am assuming you got the same ones as me(manual set). I don't want my suspension to hit anything, I just want a subtle drop. I am going to try to gather info on other RS3 owners KWV3 experience and see how much was the average drop although at the end of the day the drop is subjective. Some people love it very low for looks but I am always about drivability.

On a different subject and somehow indirectly related, I see that you are going serious with the suspension but have you thought about doing anything to the brakes? I just ordered(literally 5 minutes ago) 2 sets of Sweeps(one for each RS3.). One set is as follow:

2024 Blue RS3 . IS 3000 front IS2000 rears. neuspeed lines and Catrol SRF fluid
2023 Kyalami green IS2000 front. IS 2000 rear

The one with more stuff I intend to take it to the road courses. the one with just the brake pads is for my wife that says that her car doesn't have the initial strong byte as it used to have and I agree. Her car doesn't have the bite that I have on mine, her car has 18K miles and mine 2500 miles.

The “clicks” are the adjustments on pretty much any aftermarket coil over, you might have 1-4 and they will control different things. You will feel a literal “click” when moving the crown.

I’m planning on getting some AP Racing breaks but once my current setup gives up (few thousand miles)

^^ That is ideal(AP racing). They are pricey but they are the best. They had the Radical set 20% on Thanksgiving and they extended the promotional sale until the end of the month. I am stuck with these new pads for now and see were it takes me. I probably wouldn't wear them out for a couple of years. I am following up your build. Let me know what end links you end up getting. I still have time to order a set for the car before I get all the suspension work done, my question is : do I need them(aftermarket rear end links)?

One last thing. I kn ow you are doing the 2 day driving to settle the suspension. once you re-adjust the height again then you are doing the alignment? are you getting the rear sway bar end links and doing the alignment?

Got front and rear H&R sway bars and Neuspeed Endlinks all installed at the same time as the suspension.

To settle it, I did a quick 1800 mile round trip to Denver. This week’s session is to tune it up now that is settled.

Hey. I need to bring this post from the dead. So check this out. I did 2 time attacks with the KW V3s without touching a thing. The KW V3s were installed with the factory KW set-up: Front Rebound at 9 clicks from hard and rear rebound at 8 clicks from hard. Then front compression at 6 clicks from hard and rear bump at 4 clicks from hard as exactly what it says on KW website and instruction. Today I decided to finally make my first adjustments and I am scratching my head because my front KW V3s click 21 clicks from soft to hard and vice versa but the official manual on KW V3 says that rebound are only 16 clicks. I have a box with a part number 352 10 0AL which apparently is the same part number for the 8V and 8Y RS3.

How many rebound clicks do you have? also, on what set-up did you settle? in my opinion the factory preset is a bit in the soft. It is a comfortable ride but a bit softy. I purchased the KW V3 around July -August of 2022 and it makes me wonder if they revised the KW V3 to be a 20 click rebound up from 16 click rebound.
