Are these 2 features mutually exclusive ?

I have ACC though but not lane assist.

I read somewhere it’s because the flat bottom steering has no capacitive sensors but mines is a 2024 and I thought the tech would keep up ?

    When you say lane assist….

Do you mean the feature that notifies you when you’re veering out of the lane?

    Or…

the additional feature when you’re in cruise control and it keeps you centered in the lane even on mild turns?

I had a 2 day argument with an Audi tech. The first one I mentioned is lane assist. The 2nd is lane guidance.

Totally confusing, but I had an issue with lane guidance and he kept explaining lane assist.

I’m curious as to which feature is actually lost when swapping a steering wheel.

I’m referring to when the cruise control is active and the system keeps you in the lane.

Look right on your window sticker, it will tell you what equipment that car has, for the country it was intended for

Yeah, but 24 has it pretty much standard. The weird thing to me is the steering wheel itself, idk which market are you in, but it was my understanding that the round airbag (and previous steering wheel) got discontinued after the first year or two of production, now we have the trapezoid.

The option of “lane guidance” was never listed as a separate option on the configurator in my region which is South Africa.

We have the option of adaptive cruise control (code 8T8) and not adaptive cruise assist (8T3) with separate lane guidance (6I6) which is from USA spec cars.
