    RS7 or…

Wut up everyone. I’m in need of your advice/opinions. I currently own a 2018 Audi S4 stage 3 plus with Intergraded Engineering. S4’s performance is amazing 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and 1/4 mile in 10 seconds.

Recently I’ve been thinking about upgrading to either an RS5 or RS7 purely because of looks alone. I mean, I love the way my S4 looks from the front but I finds all other angles less impressive. The RS5/RS7 are much more appealing in my eyes from every angle . My car is much faster but it does not have the look I want.

I could go with the RS5 but the interior is practically identical to my S4 and the performance of my s4 is far beyond an RS5.

If I go RS7, the interior will be a huge upgrade and I can go stage 1 to get to the performance of my S4. Decisions decisions. Thoughts? IMG_4176.jpg

they are big, really that is the key difference imho when going to an rs6 or rs7. They look like land yacht in certain colors lol. For some reason the rs7 looks larger / longer to me but its now growing on me more so, if I were to do it again I might have going RS7 over RS6. Regardless, go drive one see if you like the size.

Have had all 3; 2019 S4 then 2019 RS5 and now 22 RS7. To be honest, going from the S4 to the RS5 was not really worth it and it was more of a deal play as I got almost 25% off the RS5 brand new from my dealer who needed to move it; so it only made more sense numbers wise than emotionally.

If budget is not a concern; go with the RS7 hands down. I have been an Audi fan for over a decade, and I always lusted after an RS6 from the previous gens and always wanted one as its the perfect do everything automobile. Looks wise its killer, but when I saw the RS7 I was blown away its styling and wanted it over the RS6. Audi nailed the design. Short of the R8, I think this gen RS7 is the best looking car Audi has ever designed; its striking from every angle and I love the wide fenders in the front (vs just the back) and the look of the 22" wheels.

They way I see it, these are some of the last V8s available with the way things are going. The only thing to me worse in the RS7 than the 4/5 is the interior build quality; and thats based of several examples I have driven between normal A/S/RS models. Audi took a step back in that dept.

Just like others have said, the RS7 is much heavier (especially the C8 with the additional 48V battery, which by the way is an ongoing issue - see thread about it).
I am going to be biased as I just acquired a used 2021 RS7 so I already had made my choice. I believe just like you, I love the design of the C8 RS7. The other main decider was the rumble of the V8 after you have taken care of deleting the resonators or an after market cat-back.
It makes me smile every time I start the car or use the RS button to open the baffles.
I am going to stage 2 the car so it should become a mid 10s car which is much harder to achieve on the RS5.
Go test drive both and your heart will talk to you. Can't go wrong with either and post pics when you get it.
