Engine info needed on Australian delivered 2014/2015 B8.5's ?

Just bought our son a late 2015 -read December delivered, B8.5 Q s-line and surprise surprise it has the EA888 gen 3 engine.I'm curious if all 2015's had these for Aust. delivery or did that even start in 2014.
Ours ( sig below) is a 2013 and has a gen 2.
I'm pretty sure in the US the gen 3's started with the B9.....
Anyway pretty happy finding this little gem under the hood !

With a bit of basic detective work I've resolved that,yes,it seems the 2014 A4's also had gen3's fitted over here.I already noticed sons new ride uses oil,after checking several times on different occasions seems to be down to just above half on the MMI.So maybe 300ml for half of the 10k kms oil service interval.Other owners have said that on other Audi forums as well.I'll check with VCDS for oil change history.Our b8.5 uses absolutely zilch between changes.
Interested to hear any comments re this from gen 3 owners,HAPPY NEW YEAR !

My A4 came out of production late 2014 as a MY 2015 model, and was equipped with EA888.3

Not sure about other 2014 models.

Audi introduced the EA888 Gen3 engines with the B8.5 facelift (MY12 in RoW, MY13 in NAR). Audi did not produce US market vehicles with Gen3 engines until the B9 introduction. But I know people from Australia have posted over the years and they had Gen3 engines in their B8.5 vehicles. The B8.5 era Gen3 2.0T is the CNCD and the 1.8T is the CJEB (possible other CJE tunes, aka power levels, existed also).

Heidi has CDNC and is B8.5 facelift but obviously has gen 2 with that code.The 1.8T is an option for some as the price is keen until they discover the joys of driving a CVT.

I swear I am not contributing to the 4G congestion! Why someone has to pull out a phone while enjoying Coffs Habour is beyond me.

Instead, this Xmas I had some fun driving near Hobart to Styx Tall tree, navigating unsealed roads with occasional tree falls without phone signals.
