    Rotor/Pad Replacement for 2019 Audi A5 Sportback

Hey all, I'm thinking tomorrow on my one day off and no children around on tackling the brakes on my '19 A5 Sportback. I have found some good Youtube videos out there but was curious if anyone uses a good detail instruction on replacing the brakes on their B9 A5 Sportback. I'm open to good write ups or videos. The videos i found i think apply to B9 A4's, which im assuming are identical to the B9 A5's.

Any additional resources would be appreciative.

The youtube vids for A4 would apply to the A5. I did my S5 brakes/rotors and watched an S4 video on it prior. Frankly, outside of releasing the electronic parking brake using a scan tool there was nothing really any different than doing the brakes on any of my prior non-audi cars. My sensor wasn't bad as the pads were not worn down enough to trigger it so i didn't need to replace it. I did the rear only as my fronts were still decent. It's not a difficult job if you have the tools. The carrier bolts for the caliper were a little tough to break loose due to there were a little hard to get at. I would say if you have done rotor and pad replacement in the past it should be pretty straightforward for you.

workshop manuals from erwin.audiusa.com would be the normal starting point (register, pay for a day, download all the PDFs for your VIN), so you have correct identification of replace if removed parts and torque specs, etc. Then augment the proper instructions with YT videos, etc. Yes, the brake system is identical between the B9 A4 and the B9 A5.

The payment is for access time. So open PDF, save PDF, repeat, for all the PDFs presented after you search by VIN. It's what I did many years ago to have the doc set for my car.

Thanks for the tip! Managed to download like 14 pdfs on my car! Much better deal than like emanuals
