Maintenance on any Audi is always the lesser of time or miles, whichever comes first.

Audicare covers all required maintenance as set forth by Audi for a given model . For an RS3, see the chart above.
The dealer ultimately sets the price, but there is zero margin in it for them. They make $75 selling an Audicare contract. In the past, there was a bit more margin built in, but those days ended in ~2018.
I got it on the RS3 as part of the car - audi extended that to all 2018 owners whose cars had port delays prior to delivery, as they were obtaining federal approvals. Got it on the B9 S4 too, which is now terming out of audicare, despite it only having 3500 miles on it (it never gets driven). Whenever I bring it in next, I’ll get a new audicare contract at that point. For me, it doesn’t pay not to. I don’t have all the free time in the world to handle working on multiple cars, I can get a loaner if needed, and all its maintenance gets documented in one place for when I eventually decide to sell it. Plus the parts and labor get warrantied if need be, on a national level. For those who can do their own maintenance, brake fluid flushes, trans/dsg services, probably doesn’t make much sense. While I could easily get my hands on the needed equipment, I really leave my wrenching time to the B5. The rest of the stuff I just want on autopilot :)
