    C7 aftermarket air suspension

    Howdy y'all,
I've got leaking front struts on my 2017 S6. Audi quoted me $11,000 to replace them, and I found that hilarious.
Does anyone have experience with aftermarket air suspension that's held up well?

Can be done wayyyyyy cheaper. Here's a complete aftermarket example: https://accuair.com/products/audi-a6...cr-O35lWoNPhG4

Could also try locating 2 OEM air struts via Copart, eBay, etc..

    Enjoy the ride

A lot of the time it's the oring at the top of the strut or a leak at the fitting. A few bucks for the parts and an afternoon of effort!

Do a quick search on YT and a few minutes of squirting some sudsy water can save you thousands!!

If you are not a DIYr, any good indy would be able to do this job for FAR less!

They call them Stealerships for a reason!!!

    Cheers,

Think the S6 has magnetic dampers in the mix, right? That's for an A6 upgrade. I haven't seen one for the S cars yet!

But you are spot on for the CoPart, eBay, or even an Audi ONLY scrapyard like Lifetime Audi here in NC. Lots of ways to get the parts other than the stealers!

    Cheers,

    KS

Get Arnott's or go on ECS and buy two new front air struts ($1200 per side).

    $11k is robbery.

If you even need 2. Sometimes when one side goes bad, the Air Ride system tries to compensate and lower the non-failing side to keep the car level.

It's easy for the dealer to say you need both sides replaced even if you don't, but I would ALWAYS get a second opinion at a good indy before even spending $2400 vs the $11k!

Another thing to consider is to putting your car into "towing" mode ASAP so that the car isn't running the pump trying to level the car constantly! It can burn the pump out.

    Good Luck with the fix!!
