P044100 Code

Hey guys,

I was scanning my car with OBD11 and noticed a P044100 code for “EVAP Emission Control System Incorrect” under the engine module. It’s listed as intermittent and this is the first time I’ve seen it. No CEL and the car runs completely fine. I am on a Stage 1 E85 tune and fill up with the good quality California ethanol stuff.

Can’t find much information online regarding this code on our engines. Wanted to see if anyone knew the cause or if this was anything to worry about. Was thinking of just clearing the code and seeing if it pops back up again since it’s intermittent.

Would post a picture of the code but it seems the image size is too large.

I guessing it's cooler weather related...it's probably fine.

That’s your evap purge valve, did you recently install an intake? If not easy to replace just might have a bit of a wait on the part

70 degrees in SoCal at the moment. Doesn’t really dip under 50 here at all so I’m not sure. Hopefully nothing

I’ve had the same intake on for about 10 months. Weird
