What are the best looking rims for a 01 b5 s4?

I'll always love Ultraleggera's. I got these wheels for $1k. The guy had them on his Golf R. They came with tires as well with a lot of tread life left. They weren't my first choice of tire but they held me over until I was able to switch to the Continentals.

I run 235/40R18 Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires on 18x8 ET35 OZ Racing Ultraleggera wheels. Fitment is great IMO.

set a budget first, then a size - expensive is a very, very relative term

So my budget is around 1k... any size from 17s to 18s 225/40/18 or 17s could also so do 215s as well... still learning more and more about the b5 s4 since its my second car... upgrading from an 03 maxima auto. I have tires and i can always wait on getting rims.

No worthwhile 17 or 18s new will be $1k with tires. I think that’s even nearly impossible used.

If this car is new to you, do yourself a favor. Hold on to the $1k. Stack as many $1000s as you can afford to. You’ll absolutely need it for other things that come up as you begin to use it, and having the funds on hand will allow you to have a well sorted car in the end. Wheels will come down the road.

This is such a subjective topic, why would you even ask the question? Some people would also tell you that driving around a bagged car fully aired out is cool too. You have to make this decision for yourself.

SSR Comps. Couldn't tell you the price as it was the secondary set that came with my car, but they're a real classic look. Lightweight, too. 1k isn't a very big budget for new wheels, you'll be lucky to get a full set of decent tires for under 1k. I'd save the thousand and make sure everything else is in order and shop around for some wheels you like the look of. Price em out, and maybe you'll find a set for a decent price down the road.

In my personal opinion nothing beats the bbs lm, the perfect wheel for the b5

I don't have pictures as yet, bit I'm running stock wheels from an 08 A4. I like the way dual point five spoke wheels look, and the stock s4 wheels were in bad shape. BTW, those BBS wheels do look great.

Wheel choice is extremely subjective to many factors, personal choice in looks being the biggest.

I've always loved BBS LMs, but they are spendy.

But I've always loved the classic Avus wheels as well.

When I bought my car it had 18" alzors on it they looked good and no real complaints besides they are kind of heavy. I don't think there very expensive. Audizine%20Forum1051727477.jpg

There is a sticky thread https://www.audizine.com/forum/showt...nd-information at the top of this forum, and it has pictures/info on wheels dating back to 2011. Some of the pictures aren't appearing anymore, but maybe take a look thru it.

I agree - The B6 S4 Avus (8Jx18 ET45) is OEM+ and looks “just right” on the B5 S4, the smooth concave and larger size is a nice visual enhancement from the stock B5 S4 Avus (flat 7.5x17).

With these wheels, you need at least 5mm spacers all-around to clear the front brake calipers and rear suspension upright arm.

Here’s mine with 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers. With Continental ExtremeContact Sport 235/40ZR18 tires and lowered on coilovers, the front fender lips were slightly rolled to avoid rubbing. You can see how the wheels dramatically take center stage in the overall look of the car!

I'm a BBS guy, and I think the period correct BBS wheels look best on a B5.
