    MK8 PCV

Has any tried running the MK8 PCV valve as a replacement for the OEM BL revision?

I am getting lots of smoke after hard cornering with my latest suspension and tire mods, so I now understand why some track-rats insist on having a catch can.

From this article it looks to be a good potential solution: https://www.datadrivenmqb.com/drivet...k8pcvtracktest

I was literally just saw his video and reviewed the test results which seem promising. I'm curious about the fitment on a tuned 8V with an upgraded turbo, DV, inlet and intake.

Also if a person looks at the factory pvc/ oilsep plate on the LM RS3 with its factory S3 engine...you can see what the factory race cars run🤪

The hidden aspects of this system in the catch can and the return valve that returns oil into the engine. 034 has a simuliar oil return setup...

B9 plate works really well and bolts up!

Good catch! So the PCV plate itself is the commonly referenced B9 plate, but the hose to the tip with the extra vac line is what is a new development and *may* be beneficial.

I am currently running the 06K 103 495 BM which is the A3 S3 TT TTS specific PCV. It didnt like all the hard cornering and Gs..

I've been running the mk8/b9 pcv for a couple weeks but have yet to test it on track. 31psi tune w/ hybrid turbo. For city/street driving it's been fine.

From following the PCV drama on golfmk7 for a while, generally people like BL revision more than BM, but the new b9/mk8 pcv seems promising, though not a cure-all on the track. Indeed thinking along lines of @MikTip about replicating the TCR setup, I think one key is that the CC/AOS is located behind the engine and avoids long hoses. Trying to figure out a way to source those parts - saw one listed (sold) online - https://es.wallapop.com/item/oil-cat...eite-831286196

How did it work on track and daily street driving?
