Alzor wheel owners please help me

I have a set of the 19 inch Alzor 628 wheels, which are the rotor replica wheels. The wheels are very nice and very good quality but I’ve ordered 4 different sets of center caps from Audi and I can’t find the right sized ones.

The centerbore of the wheel measures 66.6mm and the back of the Alzor center caps measure about 62-63mm from the pronged spring across to the other pronged spring. Does anyone have any idea what the proper cap is? Please help.

Good luck finding an answer! I even asked Alzor themselves and they told me to measure it rather than tell me the actual cap size

Alzor is ECS tuning. They have the wheels manufactured in house.

I am very disappointed and angry with the response I got today from ECS. They are usually very reputable and have great customer service, but they told me I was on my own, to measure the wheel and I should figure it out myself.... SERIOUSLY?
I spent over $10K at ECS this year alone. They will never get another penny from me. I'm so mad about this just out of principle. What they don't realize is that I work in the auto industry and I will make it part of my daily conversation to tell every shop I deal with not to use them. I guess they are just like any other company now, they want to make a profit and move on and don't care about the customer anymore. Shame on ECS tuning.

I should have bought the Hartmann reps or a used Audi OEM set. Now I am stuck unless I can find the right cap. I'm so pissed off right now.

They're definitely not made in house which is also why they're not giving you an answer. Most REP wheels do not follow the OEM center cap size. They're probably 61mm, but you should use a caliper to measure for yourself. They provide caps, so I wouldn't be blaming them for not having a measurement on hand for you.

I got you on this one. Had to play this game a few years ago... you can easily make your own caps using the Alzors and Audi's.

The Alzor centers are just a flat disc attached by an adhesive. From the back, work a flathead in to free the center...pry them up and off. Then pop out the Audi centers and adhere those to the Alzor caps.

From here you've got two options. Since the Audi centers have a rise to them, you'll either need to shave them down flat (to be like the Alzor centers) or if you like the rise find some kind of material to take up the space. The 1st time we did this my buddy shaved down a set for me and they sat flat. The 2nd time, just left them as is and used those pads that go under table legs to take up the space which actually worked incredibly well (the adhesive will seal them). I would def reco the latter... super easy and IMO it looks better.

Be sure to use JB Plastic Welder as the adhesive. It's more gooey than runny so far easier to take up the space between the two pieces, and very forgiving if you need to wipe some away in the process.

As for longevity, The first set I made lasted maybe two years until the Audi centers we used started turning yellowish. They were from an old set of B6 wheels. 2nd set is still currently on my B7, three+ years now. Will grab some pics...

1st set shaved flat. We used a bench grinder.

Current set, no modification to the Audi center. I like these better.

You’ve been ECS’d…sorry man. A couple experiences with poor customer service myself, and I quit a few years back.

At this point, you’re better off finding the solution yourself, but I completely agree with the principle. Years ago I ordered a “Schwaben” product and after reaching out to ECS for help, they directed me to the manufacturer from China and encouraged me to talk with them myself because they didn’t actually know how to use the product.
