What's your opinion of various on-line Audi parts houses?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Me first, in somewhat random order...

    domestic on-line parts houses:

    ECS Tuning
    metro Cleveland-Akron OH
Great website, selection, prices... horrible fulfilment. They brazenly lie by telling you it's in stock, after which their post-sale 'customer service" mainly consists of more lies as to why you still don't have it two weeks later.

    eEuroParts
    Nashville TN
Just the WORST. Good prices but Just as dishonest and foot-dragging as ECS, but also makes cheap-O substitutions without asking and quietly pockets the difference as if hoping you won't notice. Probably a Dixie Mafia front.

    FCP Euro
    metro New Haven CT
    Simply the best

    Europa Parts
    Piscataway NJ
    A close second

    Rock Auto
    Madison WI
Also fantastic, great prices, can get anything. Weird website is a relic of the 1990s however

    Pelican Parts
    Metro LA
    Dunno bout em

    Autohaus AZ
    Phoenix AZ
    They've done good by me

    Blauparts
    Manitowoc WI
    competitive for selection, website, fufilment
Sole U.S. seller of Ravenol fluids (excellent bargain fluids)

    German Auto Supply
    metro Charlotte NC
Good in most ways and lightning fulfilment, at least where I live

    Hans Auto Parts
    metro Charlotte NC
    ???

    Deutsche Auto Parts
    metro Charlotte NC
Not good at fulfilment. The owner, Paul Barrett, is a wiz at hustling himself with his YT channel but evidently can't walk the walk as CEO of his little parts house, should sell and work as a QVC presenter instead.

    RM European
    metro Denver CO (Littleton)
Hear good things but never used em

    Alleuro
    metro Detroit MI
    ???

domestic Audi & VW dealerships that sell online for discounted prices:
Useful for getting odd-ball Genuine parts quickly for the best prices you'll find

    OEM Parts Online
an online "clearing house" that searches many dealerships for parts

    Autohaus Parts Delivered
    Peoria IL

    VW Parts Vortex
Burlington NJ; VW only; first in line to get VW intermodal freight arriving in Elizabeth NJ

    Buy Audi VW parts
    Omaha, NE

    Boutique aftermarket parts:

    034 motorsports
    metro LA
top notch manufacturer of their own upgrade and tuning specialties

    JH Motorsports
    metro Stockton CA
    tuning & modding specialties

    New German Performance
    metro Baltimore MD
    racing specialties

    Techtonics Tuning
    Sheridan OR
reseller of various upgrade & genuine parts

    European parts houses:

    Cars245
    Riga, Latvia
unbeatable prices on Genuine parts but shipping takes forever

    oemVWshop
    Nitra, Slovakia
    similar to Cars245

My only nit with FCP is their shipping contract is with UPS and UPS SUCKS where I am (driver described my area as a "dead zone" and so I'm always last if they even attempt a delivery).

ECS now has Lifetime Replacement Warranty on a lot of parts, but does not extend to fluids like FCP.

I'd add Audi USA Parts, Genuine Audi Parts, and Pelican Parts (they have some nice writeups for a few things). Jim Ellis Audi seems to have good deals at times for random OE parts.

I like 42 Draft Designs in Millersville MD for their lightweight wheel spacers, but they have a lot of transverse engine parts.

And Darkside Developments in the UK for anything diesel.
2016 A6 TDI Prestige - Tornado Gray. Malone Stage 2, DPF Delete, EGR blockoff, S6 F&R brakes, 034 RSB, RSNav S4, P3 v3 TDI gauge
2003 RS 6 - Misano Red. AMD ECU/TCU tune, KW V3s, Hotchkis sway bars, Phaeton brake ducts, red carbon fiber trim
    2005 allroad 6MT swap - Alpaca Beige

    2003 allroad 6MT - SOLD like a dumbass

That's it. Don't even get me started on ECS Tuning. They lost my business account just as fast as they got it. They operate on zero interest short term loans from customers like you, sad but true. I avoid them like the plague that they are.

That's exactly what they're doing, isn't it? Their definitions of "inventory" and "in stock" are "can we get it and ship it out within X number of days?" Do they even have a warehouse? 2) Only after they have your order and money in hand do THEY order it from their wholesalers 3) even if that works perfectly it still means days lost before they ship to you, but what if it doesn't work perfectly? That could mean weeks lost. It's the ghetto han-to-mouf school of running a parts house.

eEuroParts and ShopDap operate this way too.

I've had mostly good success with ECS. But yeah I did order some clips back in February that should have shipped in 2 days. Then my shipping date just kept moving because their supplier did not actually have the clips. After about a month, I cancelled it because that was ridiculous and a half.

But normally my stuff goes from ordered to delivered within 2-3 days.

My last order went like that, but there was this one order a while back... It said "in stock" when I ordered... After a week I called them and it became clear it was never in stock. They lied then and they just kept on lying. "Oh whoops, we made a mistake, tee hee..." My policy is usually never buy again from a house that pulls that shit, you never know when they're gonna do it again, but with ECS their selection is so damn good they're hard to avoid

Nah fam their orders never got out on time period. I got the run around for 5 months once. Excuses after excuses. Shit I wanted to order some je pistons for a DAZA that I needed. I called them told them I need these in 3 days. I will pay whatever is costs to ship but I need them. They flat out told me they cannot garantee that I will have them in my time period. That was the final straw. ECS Tuning= Avoid at all costs .

They (ECS) are still the best for looking up parts to see a picture but then you just have to buy it from somewhere else.
Eeuro used to be great before they got sold a couple years ago. They used to right around the corner from my work so i could pick up parts at the counter on the way home.

True story--I do use ECS a lot for parts lookup. FCP'll just show you a pic of a cardboard box

Their site is ONLY good for looking up parts. That's it.

eEuro got sold to newparts inc. Here are the reviews for new parts inc.:

grab a friend, grab a beer and let the laughter begin. Their reviews are on par with ECS tuning reviews and they way they do business.

If you are dealing with the major repair work, especially collision damage, sometimes it's better to go with an official, trusted, and reputed collision repair shop instead of hunting parts online. The right shop will have access to OEM or quality aftermarket parts without the hassle of shady fulfillment issues. I’ve had experience sourcing parts myself, but after dealing with delays and incorrect orders, I have learned that a good body shop can often get what you need faster and with a warranty. If you are tackling the job yourself, always double check the part number and avoid places with a history of slow shipping and poor communication. Best of luck.
