    3.0 Intake manifold valve parts

anyone got an idea / picture / description whatever of the part on the end of the changeover valve that fits into the manifold? I have a little steel "swivel/thimble" or whatever you call it that is on the end of the shaft on the plastic valve. There is a pocket in the intake way in there on the opposite wall that is larger in diameter than that steel part. Looks like maybe there was a rubber donut on it?
    I can't find a picture anywhere.

Below is the valve WITHOUT the steel thing.

I don't think any of that is available separately. I don't have any pictures of those intakes as I normally just replace the whole unit. I know that gruvenparts makes some billet arms for that intake manifold:

I figured. I'm not really worried about buying a stock part. I just would like to know what used to be there. I can fab about anything.

The hole in the back of the intake where that pin on the end would fit is much larger than the steel washer/thimble or whatever you call it that sits on the valve. It has what looks like rubber debris on it. Thinking there might have been a rubber donut or something on it that took up the space between the plastic intake pocket and the steel thing.

I've developed a steel replacement coupler for the plastic disaster that always breaks on these. I'll throw a pic below of what i have now.

The new bearing presses in place of the old bearing, the coupler thru that, a steel ring with tapped holes and shoulder bolts replaces the plastic part on the engine side.

Well i was going to upload a photo, but it's absolutely impossible to do from my phone using the website. I don't use tapatalk anymore. I'll try to remember to do so later.

I put a couple of big orings on that ring and pushed into the hole in the intake. it seemed to work ok. There's a pic of that ring above.

Anyone ever ordered these from Gruvenparts? I ordered this set last saturday and they haven't even shipped yet. I'm about ready to cancel the order and just find some other ones.

I got ahold of them, he said there was a run on those intake arms and they were trying to replenish stock. I am a couple weeks out. I'm trying to hold off the intake repair, but i need the car and may just have to run without it.

I'd love to buy those parts from you. Every changeover valve I've taken from a 3.0 at Pick-n-pull has melted plastic coupling the rotary piece to the coupler/diaphram piece.
