What Cleans the White Residue off New Tires?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Does anyone know how to clean the white film left after mounting new tires? I just purchased a set of winter wheels and tires and I cannot clean the leftover mounting liquid. I've tried Griot's rubber cleaner and Adams wheel and tire cleaner. I've used a very stiff bristle brush and still cannot get it off. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

That's not leftover mounting lube. Rather it's rubber bloom which is a natural occurrence on some rubber.

I've used Bar Keepers Friend cleanser with a stiff bristle brush, which worked ok. But, be very careful near the wheel so you don't scratch it. If you Google "Remove rubber bloom" you'll find many products and methods.
