    2012 Q5 3.2 misfire

So on my way to check out a 2012 q5 as a temp car but the seller said it has one issue, a misfire. I used to have a b8 a4 but that had a 3.2. Are misfires common on the 3.2? Could it be the regular coils/plugs or injectors? Or could it be something more? Just trying to see what I can check for on theses 3.2. I have my scanner and the seller said it drives fine and doesn’t take consume any oil. It has 116k miles. They have it at a good price ($6500) that’s why it got me interested because I need a temp car to get around. My a4 had a misfire too but it was either coils and plugs or maybe sun times a stuck injector because it would only misfire on idle. Would appreciate any info on this.

    2012 Q5 3.2 misfire

You could always bring a coil and swap out the cycl with the error. Maybe a spark plug too. I did read that the 2012’s were more problematic than the 2009-2011. 2013 they got better.

According to MotorBiscuit, the 2012 Audi Q5 is one model year you should stay away from no matter what. The most common problems reported by Q5 drivers include defective airbags and extreme oil consumption issues. Upon further review, this is more for the 2.0 motor.
