What are the differences between prestige and premium plus

So what are the differences between the premium plus and a prestige in the A7?


I have been browsing the used car apps contemplating a replacement A7 but not sure which route to go Prestige vs Premium Plus. Would love to jump up to the CREC engine and CarPlay but those are not in the MUST HAVE column.

I have a 2012 A7 Prestige now, will I regret getting a newer PP?


But being a 2012 there is only so many bells and whistles.

What we have
Heated / cooled seats
Heated steering wheel
Standard cruise control
NO side alert
NO HUD
NO front camera
Bose stereo (which I don't mind, its decent enough for me)
NO Sport Diff
I have the smart touch doors or what ever they are called. (which has spoiled me as I cuss about having to use the key fob in our Wrangler to lock / unlock.)
No folding mirror
no soft close doors

I have a 2013 Prestige (and love the feature set) but have no idea how my car's content level compares with that of a 2018+ Prestige. The unique features for later-model units must be listed by Audi somewhere.

So the only options I personally know of that you can't get on the P+ vs Prestige in the US market are the Head-Up Display, Top View Camera System, Power Rear & Manual Rear Side Window Sunshades, Open & Close Power Trunk, Front Seat Ventilation & Passenger Lumbar. I'm not certain, but I don't think you could get the Contour seats in the P+ either. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, I'm sure. But that's what I remember from all the searching I did to see how loaded my 18 is. The above is all that I'm missing. Finding the option packages for the 7.5's is a lot harder than it should be.

can you get the Bang and Olufsen sound on the premium? because honestly, it's one of the best stock audio systems in a car that i have ever heard, only lacking a bit of bass

B&O would be a plus but no big deal with it without. It will not be a deal breaker.

Pretty sure you're correct, but I can't find any literature to confirm. It would make sense though.

I just got my 2016 A7 Prestige, so I'm still learning a lot.. but what i have found is that certain features that I wanted came standard in the prestige trim: dual zone AC, bose, advanced key, S line bumpers, and i think power adjustable steering column.

You would think these would come standard on a mid size sedan luxury vehicle... but apparently not because one of the first A7s i looked at had a manual adjustment steering column and not even a digital AC dial.

Prestige models also have a higher likely chance of things like adaptive cruise control (which i really wanted and is completely worth it), HUD (not a must have), not sure if power folding mirrors is standard or option but i have it. If you have ACC i think typically you'll get blind spot assist and the front camera as well.

Rear heated seats area really nice to have, something i wanted since i have kids in the back. But i didn't notice it being more prevalent on prestige models.

Also apparently the overhead LED lights are different than premium plus.

Overall i didn't see much of a price difference between prestige and premium plus. Biggest price difference always comes down to mileage.

Just an FYI, carplay/aa is easily enabled on any c7.5 car. I did it on my 16 s6 and couldn't be happier. Especially with a wireless dongle in the console so no wires are needed.

If you go to the website "https://www.auto-brochures.com/makes/Audi/A7/Audi_US%20A7_2019.pdf" you'll find a PDF file of the sales brochure for the 2019 A7 with a list of all the standard features and options for the two different trim levels. Both trims are listed to have B&O sound as standard but Prestige has an option for an even higher end B&O. Both have same listing for "Audi advanced key", I assume this includes the button on the door handle to lock/unlock the door. Hopefully this will help; good luck in your search. Just an FYI, carplay/aa is easily enabled on any c7.5 car. I did it on my 16 s6 and couldn't be happier. Especially with a wireless dongle in the console so no wires are needed.

No C7, Sportback including FL models have Rear window sunshades or Tailgate sunshades. Early models had a tailgate shade that stayed in place (never powered) and some had the spring pop-up shade on the parcel shelf.

I will also add that some items/upgrades that were Prestige became a part of the P+ lineup in later model years. By the end of the C7 Sportback run, Premium was dropped, IIRC.

RSnav will give you the Android Auto / Carplay in your current vehicle.

Add an ECU / TCU flash to your 12-15 and it will be significantly quicker than a stock CREC. You already did all the maintenance, so run what you have.

Looked at used stuff, the Competition looks pretty damn sweet. The sport seats look great but not sure how they will fit me and how comfortable they might be. My 7 has the comfort seats and I can easily handle a 12 hour day in them. The sport diff is intriguing but I don’t bang on it and drive like an asshat so not really sure it’s a bigger deal to me or not.
